Used to be good but over the years has got progressively less well-made IMO
Lots of glitches.

I love my Nokia Lumia. Reasonably priced, simple to use and just the right size. Plus when I dropped it and broke the glass I got it replaced for 10 quid, I dread to think how much it would have been on an iphone

Forty pound to replace glass on iPhone.
My iPhone is becoming pretty redundant now I have an iPad - apart from when I'm out and about.

LAST time I replaced my mobile phone, rather than upgrading to a "smart phone" I took a step backwards ~ and bought a simpler phone with less features and extras...
HOWEVER, it is waterproof, shockproof and dust resistant ~ and it's supposed to float ~ and it also has FM radio and torch functions. And it's neon orange in colour !!
MORE suitable for what I actually need, (rather than what one may merely want..).
Now that sounds more like it!

Re: Mobile Phone Advice
I'm actually a big fan of my Galaxy S3, even though it's old by smartphone standards. It works well, good reception, big pretty screen, and unlike iphone, when my battery craps out I can replace the battery instead of the whole phone.
I imagine the S4 and S5 are at least as good. You can also get a battery expansion kit for those models which makes the phone thicker but also doubles the battery life, which I like because sometimes I need to use the phone as a mobile hotspot for internet access for several hours, and it can handle that.

The wife has an S3 - i've heard not-so-good things about the S4.
Did you ever get anywhere with Cyanogenmod? I have it on the S and love it.

I really like it Andy, very easy to use and upgrade. Hubby has a Galaxy and swears by it so it's down to personal preference and what you get used to I guess ::D::
