Problems with NF, particularly on mobile UPDATE - SEEMS TO BE WORKING ON ALL PLATFORMS NOW

Tried to get on via mobile this morning and it keeps redirecting. There are even some issues on the desktop version of NF, where ads try to redirect you.

FM tech support are aware of both issues. Please report any other issues in this thread, and may God have mercy on your souls.

INDEED ...I just gave up trying to link up via my tablet none of my installed 'Ad Blockers' were working.

It does seem like it works pretty well from a desktop or laptop, but on a phone or tablet -- even if you're looking at Classic View -- it's a non-starter.

Given up on phone, absolutely fine from laptop, seems to bear that out.

Phone for reading is fine but can't be bothered logging on with it. Laptop is fine.

Well I can get in if I post the non-mobile version but here's what I did:

Plugged in my old laptop on the advice of some idiot - it blew my electrics

Then I decided to delete all my history (I'll neither find those shoes or that porn site again) and I came in via the classic version (which looks weird and is harder to post in and has no smilies)

FUCKING rogue malware adbot infesting one of those banner advert's...

Trojan horse/"Worm" style macro' program that advertisers implant into advert's to hijack you and redirect to scumbag sleaze pits == gambling, money lender, gaming and dating sites are ones that I've seen over the last couple of days.

The site doing the redirecting is called something like "adhostnet.com".

I consider big search companies like Google and Bing are actually complicit to some extent, in this criminal activity --  after all, most of their revenues comes from advertising --  so they're not in a hurry to fix these problems..        

I also don't see what those braindead advertisers themselves think they will gain from such nefarious activities, either..
Gives them a bad rep' -- plus potentially leaves them open to "hacking" and "denial of service" type charges, if and when they infect themwring organisation...
Any intelligent person should be closing tne tab, when they see that they're being re-directed in this way..

Just tried the mobile version of the site on my Android and had no problems. I know FM have been working on this for a few days, so perhaps they fixed the problem.

The people responsible for planting those rogue ad's seem to be getting more clever too...

A few months ago, the various host sites' (like Forumation..) tech heads seemed to get on top of the malware within a few hours..

Now with some of these latest versions of attack advert's, sometimes it seems to take 2 or 3 days for the host site owners to neutralise them !

Wolfie you're right - they've added some xrap to those banner ads - they were fixed over the log in button

Okay so here's some advice for anyone who may have future problems:

If your iPad keeps asking you to do updates, do them. Apparently those updates are there for a reason, they're not just your iPad's way of staying in touch.

Oh and don't listen to people that tell you to plug your very old laptop into your plug sockets. They are idiots.

It's a forumotion problem not an NF problem apparently

Yes, on iPad and iPhone but fine on Laptop.  Forumotion are Apple haters
