Conservative MP 'unspeakably sorry' - another one.
Bristol North West MP Charlotte Leslie admits 'full responsibility for administrative mistakes' that meant she did not declare donations to her local party
A Conservative MP has apologised to the House of Commons after WalesOnline asked why she had not declared donations to her local party that were relevant to interventions she made about the Severn Barrage project.
Charlotte Leslie, who represents Bristol North West, told MPs she was "unspeakably sorry" for not making the declarations in a timely manner.
We had sought a statement from Ms Leslie over concerns raised about Parliamentary Questions and other interventions relating to the Barrage project, whose main opponent has been Bristol Port, jointly owned by Tory donor David Ord.
Mr Ord's companies have made three donations to Bristol, North West Conservative Association since 2009, when Ms Leslie was the prospective candidate for the seat.
David Ord Ltd made a cash donation of £5,000 in March 2009, First Corporate Shipping Ltd donated £2,000 in September 2012 and David Ord Ltd made a further donation of £10,000 in June 2013.
