Welcome to benefits Britain
'I know it’s easy to take benefits in England’: Gipsies who move to Britain reveal how they claim thousands of pounds every month as part of their bundle of benefits even though they do not work
Documentary features a mother of 11 who receives almost £2,000 in benefits
Also follows immigrant who wants to earn £40,000 in benefits in two years
Gipsies have revealed how they are claiming thousands of pounds every month in benefits after moving to Britain and milking the generous state benefit system.
The admissions were made in a damning new Channel 5 documentary which follows the lives of Roma gipsies in Britain.
One of the gipsies featured in Gypsies On Benefits And Proud is Katarina Cisarova, 43,who brought her eleven children and eleven grand-children with her to an estate in Rotherham.
The Slovakian Roma receives almost £2,000 in benefits programmes and boasts: 'We have a good life here. We have everything that we want here. It is very nice.'
In the seven years she has been in Britain, Katarina has worked a handful of days.
She lives with her husband Peter and their four youngest children – all teenagers.
Peter, who has not had a job for two years says: 'My country, I no had a job, no food, nothing. No going back, never. Thank you so much England.'
Most of their grown up children also rely on the welfare state.
The documentary which will air April 11, also features Ion Lazar, 36, who came to the Britain with five other immigrants when the work restrictions on Romanians were lifted in January.
He admits he is just planning to stash his benefits to take home to his family in Romania.
'I need maybe forty thousand from
benefits.... four zero thousand pounds for my family and I think this
money I can make in one years maybe two,' he said.
He says on the show: 'I know it’s very, very easy to take benefits in England… She’s give me home free, she’s give me money free, she’s give me everything.'

But the lefties tell us it's only the highly skilled, hard working and well needed immigrants coming here to do all the jobs that we don't want to do!
While in the EU we have no control on our borders.
Haven't we got better things to be spending our tax money on?

They spend years denying then when faced with overwhelming evidence they are wrong they simply go in denial. I was just reading in the Telegraph that Osborne is sending out a Pie Chart with tax statements showing just how much is spent on welfare. It is the biggest number for all depts. over 20% well ahead of pensions at 15%

AND fred.....pie charts are the best way to lie honestly....how many of those benefits are "working support" benefits..like tax credits.
dont forget those working support benefits are ONLY there because government is engaged in subsiding industry, by allowing unjustifiably low wages...

I'm not sure it's healthy to dwell too much on the benefits people get. I never used to think about it - I just did my job, which I loved, paid tax because I had to, and didn't think about what anyone else was doing with my money. Do we hear more about this kind of thing than we used to?

We certainly do here in the U.S., which has recently been described by some as the only country in the world where the well-off feel they should be envious of the poor. I'm not sure I'd agree that we're the only one, though ...
Thing is, benefits are supposed to be there for everyone when needed, and most people (at least speaking for the U.S.) are never either in great financial shape their entire lives or totally broke their entire lives. We should be far more concerned with governments spending billions on warfare rather than when they spend to help people.

Of course it's important. It's not just the money per se, it's making sure that nobody is taken advantage of because they are forced to pay tax from their earnings.

The tax payers of course. The Government has to look out for everyone, and that includes the tax payers. In fact, without them, there would be no benefits.

WE never scrounged anything off the state, only gained money that we were entitled to as a unit, of course, what really pisses stupid RWhingers like you off, is that some people have families that can help out from time to time! ::D::

Why isn't it healthy ?, The Inland revenue dwell on how much me and OH get........ The mere fact that one is given and the other has to be earnt should ring alarm bells.
Why should the earners have to pay an X amount just to support the non earners who deride a discussion on how much is handed out.
That my friend no matter which way you put it is our problem in the Uk.

It's not healthy because nobody can do anything about it. You can't say to the Government - I don't want my tax to go to people who sit around all day.

IMO if you have earnt it, saved it, received through means of said work or inheritance, it should not be means tested.
The careful Grandparents or parents who were frugal purely to pass on the benefits to their offspring, and who btw had already paid tax on all monies earnt, received or declared.
£6000 is a paltry sum and should be revised as is rhe inheritance tax being looked into........ Difference someone please explain....

Why would someone want to get involved in tax evasion, when they had plenty of money anyway?
Is that because they are very greedy?

You're so boring. This is about benefits, not VAT fraud.
I just told you - maybe some people are sick of having to bail out those who live off benefits for no good reason - people like you.
