Not sure I should be mentioning this on here, but some members got PMs from Dean saying the site may be down for a while.  I suppose if it's down that people will notice anyway, so I'm not giving private details away.  Seems like he's received a serious complaint about content or something; not sure if he meant it was from the forom site people, but it might be something to do with the Turkish government who are having a crackdown on social networking site.  Not sure tbh.  Anyway it's a shame because In a Flap used to be such a good site where people had freedom of speech.

It is highly offensive to tourettes sufferers to have non sufferers identified as the condition because of unacceptable behaviour. Uncontrolled swearing affects at most 10% of tourettes sufferers so maybe you ought to be out doing some research as well as Andy and try learning about things you seem fit to throw at people you dont like.

Are we going to have another dose of this fake morality?   I know plenty of times people on ADO showered others with the most appalling abuse and you did nothing.   Tourettes sufferers, amongst other things, swear uncontrollably.   So so Durham and Hugh.

You don't have to be a member to read the news threads etc, which I stopped reading a long while ago because they are so offensive. As HA has a daughter with Asbergers and I have a grandaughter with celebral palsy, we are a bloody sight more offended by the words they use. If you don't know what they say, I suggest you stop commenting on what someone says about them, especially as it appears you are happy for them to join your forum.

Anyone affected by tourettes - sufferer, friend, or family would find what was being written on here insulting and hurtful - especially if they had any idea of the people it was being aimed at. I just wanted to get people to stop and think about what they might be doing to uninvolved people reading this.

Mongol isn't offensive to women, it's offensive to people with Down's Syndrome.   However, saying autism doesn't exist is offensive to someone with a child with autism and Sphinx is happy to uphold BA's right to say that.
