Feds serve warrant on Rudy Giuliani's home and office
Rudy Giuliani, former southern district US Attorney, former Mayor of New York City, and former attorney to Donald Trump, who ran around the nation trying to stop the 2020 election, and suing for recounts ad nauseam, has finally had his home and office raided, based upon real evidence.
This is the second Donald Trump attorney, who is being investigated by the feds for breaking the law:
The walls of the Trump crime syndicate are beginning to tumble down. This is the investigation that Republicans were trying to stall, by withholding the appointment of Merrick Garland as Attorney General for some 43 days. Now that

The FBI has carried out searches at the home and office of Rudy Giuliani, who was Donald Trump's personal lawyer.
The raid is part of a probe into Mr Giuliani's dealings with Ukraine. His lawyer says he denies breaking the law.
Before the 2020 presidential election Mr Giuliani led an effort to find incriminating information about Democratic candidate Joe Biden and his son Hunter in Ukraine.
Mr Biden won the election and he and his son have denied any wrongdoing.
Mr Trump was impeached in 2019 over allegations he sought help from Ukraine to boost his chances of re-election.
What do we know about the raid?
Searches took place on Wednesday at the former New York City mayor's Upper East Side apartment, as well as his Park Avenue office.
Several electronic devices belonging to the 76-year-old were seized, according to the New York Times.
The warrants included an allegation that Giuliani failed to register as a foreign agent. The Foreign Agents Registration Act requires people to notify the State Department if they are acting as a foreign agent on behalf of another nation.
Mr Giuliani's lawyer, Robert Costello, called the searches "legal thuggery".
"This is totally unnecessary," Mr Costello told Fox News, adding that the search was conducted to "make him look like he's some sort of criminal".
He added that the raids stem from an "alleged incident of failure to register as a foreign agent".
Mr Giuliani has previously called the investigation "pure political persecution".

Wonder if he will plea bargain against Trump in order to save his own sorry arse?
It wouldn't surprise me, GOP lawyers are the scum of the earth. I think he will.

I'm no fan of Giuliani, but it is obvious that this is purely politically motivated persecution.

The Feds had enough facts to convince a Federal District Judge. In fact, SDNY had tried to bring this warrant twice before, but once former AG Barr intervened, and the other time Trump himself prevented the warrant process from going forward.
What you bring forward, in quoting Costello's response, is more verbiage. He has no facts.
The real matter started just after Russia had invaded Ukraine. The Ukrainians then expelled Russian henchmen. As we know, Trump was in league with Putin and the Kremlin. Putin had lost his operatives, and he turned to Trump to pitch the story that, instead of the Internet Research Agency (IRA) of the Russian Army doing the hacking, the Ukraine had meddled in the 2016 election.
Giuliani was over there arranging the lie, which was to become the backbone of the first impeachment of Trump. Without the Russian operatives, Giuliani was trying to extort the false story. He enlisted the help of Trump, who got caught on the phone call to the Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky, trying to extort him to tell the lie that Ukraine was starting a formal investigation, and the rest is history.
Once again, Trump was trying to sell a falsehood. But, in the process, Giuliani got caught literally representing the Russian government, and those who supported the Russian side in Ukraine. He failed to register as a foreign agent, and that’s breaking the law. BINGO.

Lawyers are lawyers.
Their job is to represent clients, not approve of what they do.

Face it, it is a good question. Tactically, what prosecutors do is build up a case on 'X', and offer compromises if he cooperates on the case against 'Y'. Giuliani is a small fish. Trump runs a criminal enterprise, that was started by his father and is as potent as any Sicilian family organizations that were taken down by RICO laws.

Your innuendo is built upon a false equivalency. Hunter Biden, an Oil/Gas attorney, breached no laws. He brokered deals between Chinese and Ukrainian interests, but he did not represent either of them. See, Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) and Lobbying Disclosure Act (LDA).
What draws the suspicion of certain Republican senators is, Hunter registered as a federal lobbyist in 2001 and stopped filing disclosures in 2008. No law was broken, but partisan suspicions are quite the gossip in Washington circles.
Republicans are good at turning suspicions into accusations. Look at what they did to Hillary, where real investigators, after a thorough inspection where no stone was unturned, said she was clean. Republicans no longer represent anything of substance--they support, and are supported by criminals and terrorists--even on fiscal matters, they squander the most money--so they have to stir up these little cauldrons now and then in order to seem relevant.
