Not Fucking Around Coalition

Move over Boogaloo Bois, stand down Proud Boys and Oath Keepers, make room KKK, there's a new militia in town.  It's called the "Not Fucking Around Coalition" (NFAC).  It's black veterans, blueprinting their group along the lines of white supremacists who perceive their role as protecting white victims.  They carry AR-15's, just like the white supremacists who proport to protect white interests.  They also have been described by news outlets as a “Black militia".

John Fitzgerald Johnson (JFJ), also known as Grand Master Jay and John Jay Fitzgerald Johnson, claims leadership of the group.  He describes NFAC as composed of "ex military shooters."  JFJ has described their character as: "We are a Black militia. We aren't protesters, we aren't demonstrators. We don't come to sing, we don't come to chant. That's not what we do."  

The first reported appearance of NFAC members was a May 12, 2020, protest near Brunswick, Georgia, over the February killing of Ahmaud Arbery.  They were mistakenly identified by local media as "Black Panthers".  The organization denies any connection to the Black Panther Party or Black Lives Matter.

Johnson stated that NFAC provided armed security for the sister of Rayshard Brooks, at her request; NFAC escorted her to a rally in downtown Atlanta in late June.

On the Fourth of July, 2020, local media reported that about 100 to 200 mostly armed NFAC members marched through Stone Mountain Park near Atlanta, Georgia.  The Stone Mountain Memorial Association, which operates the park, stated that the protesters were peaceful and orderly.



Johnson claimed that the formation was a response to a threat by the KKK to start shooting black people at 8:00 pm on the Fourth of July, 2020. Johnson stated: "I want the heart of the Ku Klux Klan to hear me no matter where the fuck you are. I'm in your house. Where you at? You made a threat. We don't threaten."

As the Court says, the issues are framed.

The H P Newton gun club predates them by a while.

I'm in full support. The more minorities exercising their rights, the better.

I do think that this nation is falling into a state of civil war--or, perhaps, the first civil war never ended—it just went the way of Jim Crow laws, lynching and black lives don't matter. Today, you see these white supremacists walking around with automatic long guns, waving the slavery flag.

Prudence would dictate that blacks pack an equal amount of firepower. They are well-trained military men, and can be relied upon to exercise common restraint, unlike these lone shooters.

Part of the problem with the south is that southerners are prone to violence. Violence is their habit pattern, and first option. Probably that is because they are conscious that they haven't got the moral high ground. They want something that everyone, including them, knows if fundamentally evil: slavery. This has established deep in their own mass psyche, we know people will look down on us, so why not go directly to violence.

The problem with any evil is, as Brian Tracy says, you drive deep down into your own soul that you are a violent person, and that your habit is to meet any adversity with violence. That's why southerners habitually beat their wives, start fights in bars, and cannot demonstrate, but that it turns into insurrection...as happened in Charlottesville, and on 1/6 in Washington. They have absolutely no skills short of violence.

I taught my children, don't panic...panic is a useless emotion! Panic is a form of mindless, instinctual response, that we needed back in the days when there were saber-toothed tigers. To panic and run. Today there are no more saber-toothed tigers, and what we need now is quiet, deliberative thought...engage the brain, and come up with answers.

Anger is the same thing as panic. Psychologists say that fight and fright are parallel phenomenon in the parasympathetic nervous system; fight releases adrenalin, while fright releases noradrenalin. Here we have the same thing going on with anger: it drains the brain. You explode, and you lose the deliberative thoughtfulness that distinguishes...well, the northerners from the south.

The south never included peace in their arsenal of responses. Take your own southern response, as evidence...your mind went directly to strength and better weapons, and you didn't even consider peace as an option. It’s the missing southern gene.

And they need to sit down and devise ways of making themselves respectable and useful to the community.

And look to laying down their arms - which won't happen overnight, but this should be their ultimate aim.

Bit more info on the group and it's leader.

Seems like they're doing a good job, wherever they go. If Congress can't protect the public with gun laws, the NFAC is a necessary balance.
