Re: Can we nutshell?
My favourite pizza is the Lidl Margherita one that comes in a box of 3 for about £2.
But to make it special it must be loaded up with extra toppings, for example, a little chopped green chili, onion, some Italian ham or tuna or prawns, mushrooms, spinach, fresh tomato slices on top, Italian mixed herbs, maybe chop some black olives also, a little drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, sprinkle of rock salt and black pepper.

Your answer was a great answer, brilliantly nutshelled.

Abortion is not a tasteful subject but it’s a necessity for some people. Better to abort than give birth to a totally unwanted baby. However, abortion should not be used as “birth control”. Put a condom on or take the pill!

Eddie just told me this exchange and I said, "I actually like his a bit better than yours!" And she wanted me to post that. Though hers is a good nutshell as well, obviously.
But that proves you right. I was able to tell her exactly what I thought and she didn't get offended, she actually wanted me to share it with you. That's love. Or, as I'd nutshell it:
Love is wanting to be with someone, no matter what, even though you could never explain why.

Thanks mate.
Its why you and Eddie have true love
True love allows for complete honesty, even when it may hurt what we end up saying
As love removes all barriers of fear
I think however you offered up the best explanation of love Ben
"Love is wanting to be with someone, no matter what, even though you could never explain why."
Its the part that nobody can explain why. As nobody can truly explain a feeling inside of them when in love
So going to change my answer based off your wonderful definition and add to this

Eilzel wrote:If you can explain why you love someone, you can explain how you could stop. That isn’t love. Love is indescribable.
That is easy to explain how people stop loving each other
1. They forget how they first fell in love
2. They allow the first argument problem they have to go unresolved
3. Due to this one problem unresolved it turns into a thousand more problems that never existed before
4. Now things a person liked when in love became annoying
5. Love can always be tested and hence why those who truly love get passed problems they have. For better or worse.
6. They always maintain the love that made them giddy when they first met
7. Hence for love to continue and be maintained, means people always have to allow themselves to vulnerable and admit when they are a dick
Go figure mate

Oh I get it is totally easy to explain ‘how’ people stop loving each other. (It happens often enough lol).
But the answer to the question of ‘why’ you love someone is unanswerable IMO. I don’t love my OH for one particular reason or even set of reasons. It’s the thing that’s impossible to explain

I really like that explanation me Lady but disagree on it being a curse or even a blessing
As I do not see love as a punishment.
Its only a punishment when the love someone has is not replicated
To be blessed is having a chance meeting with a true love
As I think we are all blessed in some way
Its more about taking the chances that come our way
Its always about not being afraid to express how we feel when in love

In a nutshell:
I can express any opinion I have when talking to people in the UK, because I'll always be able to do so in a respectful way or be able to explain my reasoning.
In Thailand, certain opinions are strictly off limits and can lose you business, your job, gain stigma or land you in jail, the concept of 'losing face' is toxic here.
People don't care so much about explanations.
I could make a thread if you think that might be interesting.

You are free to speak in society and have just done so
The issue now is whether there is consequences on your speech Eddie
Hence cancel culture is the issue
Its basically like ancient Rome with mob rule
So you are right, when are views are accessed by more of society. Then our speech is more open to censorship
Then we are denied the ability to speak by said reactions
