Trump campaign happy to accept donations from white supremacists and violent racists
Huffington Post:
President Donald Trump’s 2020 campaign has repeatedly accepted donations from well-known white supremacists, extremists and bigots, Federal Election Commission records show.
Among the far-right figures who have given money to Trump’s reelection bid are a neo-Nazi pastor in Louisiana, a wealthy Florida businessman who called former President Barack Obama the N-word, and a neo-fascist activist recently arrested for opening fire on Black Lives Matter demonstrators in Portland, Oregon.
The Trump campaign, which did not respond to HuffPost’s request for comment on this story, has been aware of at least some of the white supremacists’ donations, past media reports show. But it has declined to reject or return their money ― even though it is common practice for political campaigns to voluntarily forfeit donations from extremists. In 2015, for example, the Republican presidential campaigns of Sens. Rand Paul and Ted Cruz returned thousands of dollars in contributions from the leader of a white supremacist group.

They never seem to donate to Democrats!

Morris Gulett, a neo-Nazi leader who created an outpost of the Aryan Nations in Louisiana, has donated at least $2,000 to President Donald Trump's reelection campaign, according to data collected by Popular Information.
He has donated at least 29 times since 2017, and the Trump campaign was reportedly made aware of the donations in 2018 by the Forward.
Popular Information detailed donations from several others, including Peter Zieve, a businessman who was sued by Washington state over accusations that he discriminated against nonwhite employees.

The Trump campaign has accepted thousands of dollars from racist extremists, including a neo-Nazi leader who runs an outpost of the Aryan Nations in Louisiana.
According to data collected by Popular Information, a politics newsletter written by the journalist Judd Legum, Morris Gulett, the leader of the Louisiana chapter of Aryan Nations, has donated at least $2,000 to the Trump campaign since December 2017.
The campaign was reportedly made aware of the donations in 2018 by the Forward. It did not return the money.
So far, Gulett, who, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, is a senior pastor at the Church of Jesus Christ Christian, a nickname for Aryan Nations, has made 29 contributions to the campaign.

Not white supremacists groups.
But Dems have some shady folks contributing too. All campaigns do.
Are you under the impression there are no dangerous groups or people on the far left, or that they dont make contributions to politicians?

So it's fine for the Republicans to welcome and encourage support from Russia?
And do you have proof that China is donating to Democrats?
Re: Trump campaign happy to accept donations from white supremacists and violent racists
Prosecutors say George Nader, a Lebanese-American businessman who was a cooperating witness in Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, conspired with Ahmad “Andy” Khawaja, the owner of an online payments company, to conceal more than $3.5 million in donations to the groups. The donations let Mr. Khawaja gain access to Mrs. Clinton during the campaign, and he also visited with President Trump in the Oval Office, according to an investigation by The Associated Press last year.
A quick Google search found this. Some day you'll realize that both sides are as bad as each other.
Or maybe you wont.

I was recollecting 96. But as I posted above, there are more recent examples of dangerous groups contributing to both parties. Sometimes at the same time.

Your whole point is an exercise in whataboutism. This is about how violent racists donate to the Republican Party, and not to the Democratic Party.

Actually its about the Trump campaign. You already posted examples of other Republicans returning problematic contributions. Democrats have done the same.
My point is that almost all campaigns have contributions that are problematic. It's the nature of the beast.

Democrats don't get contributions from violent racist groups, full stop.

Nope. We already discussed this too. They get them from other problematic groups.
Shall we continue the circle?

So, your one example happened five years before the birth of my stepson, who's in his second year of university.

But, you're too busy to point them out...or, are you having difficulty finding out what is "problematic" about them?

Plus, I don't think it was even ever proven that the Chinese donated money to Bill Clinton.
But what about skinheads donating to Trump? That's what the thread's about, I thought.

There were convictions.
Charlie Trie went to prison.
And Trump should return them.
He won't and we will soon be rid of him.

Yes, Trie went to prison for trying to donate money to Bill Clinton, all of which was either rejected or returned.
Trump and the Republican Party attract financial donations from violent racist organizations. Why do you think that is? And why do you think the same groups don't donate to Democrats?

Keep up??? Try to anchor down your first point before moving on. Where's China? Clearly, even Trump openly recognized that Russia was interfering on his side:
I fail to see where anyone on the Democratic side solicited help from foreign adversaries.

Because democrats wouldn't attract donations from the far right, but the far left.
