The expense scam is as old as the hills. Why haven't you Brits gotten the memo on it?
Tom, you fail to provide details on the precise expense items. Is that intentional? I mean, those details are the meat of your claim of excessive spending.

Frankly, the OP only says it's about government spending...not about whether the expenses are justified. I have to assume they were, given your reticence to discuss it.
Move on.

Well... given that the lowest expenses claim by an MP for that year was £7000... It seems glaringly obvious to me that SNP MPs claiming between £220,000 - £245,000 each, is taking the piss!!!

Have to agree with Quill actually. It doesn’t say what the expenses were for, though that could just be bad reporting, I suppose.

Well, not if he's buying an F-35. They are a steal at £245,000.

Re: Money grabbing SNP MPs are taking full advantage of the expenses system in parliament
I didn't write the article... But it does say this...
The MP for Ross, Skye and Lochaber claimed £22,941.75 on accommodation, £31,742.82 on travel and subsistence, £36,603.24 on office costs, and £963.85, according to figures from IPSO and Daily Telegraph.
And I know that doesn't add up to 240,000, but this means he claimed 160,000 on loads of other stuff... twice what he gets paid as an MP...

Or,
...they got it wrong. There's only one truth when you don't have the evidence...that the claim lacks substantiation. That is the null hypothesis.

Well, you've made no specific claim. It's all innuendo, and nothing to respond to. I leave you in your own ashes.

Well, there's evidence of the earth being round, that the earth is not the center of the universe, and that grass is green. There just is no evidence that what you say about unwarranted expenses is true.
You'll have to do better, tom.
