Another California pussy hat that needs grabbing Empty Another California pussy hat that needs grabbing

Post by Guest Tue Oct 24, 2017 4:45 am

On Monday, a California-based male feminist published an apology to women on behalf of men.

Entitled “Letter to the Divine Feminine From the Wounded Masculine,” Adam Rubin frames women as oppressed relative to and by men across human history and into the present.

Read the letter below:

LETTER TO THE DIVINE FEMININE,

FROM THE WOUNDED MASCULINE

——

I know that words can never heal the wounds we have created.

But on behalf of men everywhere, I want to say I’m sorry.

So incredibly sorry.

For everything.

The harassment.

The abuse.

The rape.

I can’t even begin to imagine the pain we have inflicted upon you.

Centuries of oppression.

Pain passed down thru generations.

Your voices silenced.

Your bodies shamed.

Your hearts assaulted.

All of pain and all of the wounds we have created, have come from our own.

The Wounded Masculine.

If you close your eyes, you will see it.

Thousands of little boys, with thousands of hurting hearts.

Staring out into the darkness, afraid.

Hurting, without being able to voice our pain. Crying, without being able to show our tears.

Asked to stand strong and toughen up.

So we bottle up our anger.

Store our confusion.

Repress our emotions.

And these little boys, lost and confused, are raised with this conditioning.

And with no space to share and process their pain, they hold it in.

Stored on a cellular level, and wanting to be expressed.

But it’s not.

So it remains stuck, and it builds up within.

And as fear-based emotions stew within, they mold into fear-based actions.

Anger.

Abuse.

Violence.

And eventually, they are released in a rage of fury upon the women of the world.

And this deafening silence is passed down from fathers to sons, one generation after another.

But it stops here.

It’s time for us as men to put an end to the oppression, and provide the divine feminine with the pure unconditional love that she deserves.

The only way we stop inflicting these wounds, is to heal our own.

And as the Wounded Masculine heals, the Divine Masculine steps forward.

Out of the shadows, and into his light.

It's time for us to heal that which has been hidden.

To nurture that which has been neglected.

To speak that which has been shamed.

Calling forward all men to acknowledge the pain and hurt which has moved them to hurt others, and inviting them to step into a space where we share and express and heal this pain.

A safe space, where we truly listen and lead with love over fear.

So we can finally replace all the anger and abuse and violence it's been causing, and transmute it back into our only truth:

Love.

And as we heal our own pain and come back to love, we finally provide the space for the divine feminine to heal the wounds we have inflicted upon her.

As we heal together, we rise together.

Yes, tolerant and wealthy California. Laughing You've got to admit, the apology was well deserved after what has been uncovered in the past week or two.

Look at smelly's political positions broadly and you can see that besides hating tolerance he thinks wealth is sign of failure. Another California pussy hat that needs grabbing 202592697

I have been on many beaches, Atlantic ocean, Pacific ocean and the Gulf shore.  I love the ocean, which made Arizona very painful for me.

I'm a fanatical surfer, wind surfer and sailor, and I've always had water dogs (standard poodles and golden retrievers) who love to play at beaches.  The ocean and beaches (or lack of them) was what eventually drove me out of Arizona, and back to California.

More pussy hats in the making

Feminists are rooting out what they have deemed "toxic masculinity," not by giving men a positive model of masculine virtue (chivalrous knights, dedicated husbands), but by neutering them until no masculinity exists in them at all.

The latest weapon in this war on "toxic masculinity" is a class called "Rethink Masculinity," where men are invited “learn how social constructs of masculinity harm them and the people around them, and work to construct healthier masculinities." The group's website does not precisely define what exact kind of "healthier masculinities" they replace the toxic ones with.

One such male in attendance is Stephen Hicks, profiled by The Cut, who began taking the class after a relationship ended.

“My relationship ended, then a lot of things started collapsing in front of me,” Hicks says. The clue for exactly the kind of "healthier masculinities" one should expect to leave the class with is hinted at in what Hicks said next: "The bar is really lowered for cisgender guys.”

If a man walks away from a "toxic masculinity" class using social justice terms like "cisgender," then it's safe to assume that his instructors did a little snippety-snip in his nether regions while his head was turned.

“It was eight weeks of guys discussing how they can address their actions with better self-awareness and less toxicity," Hicks continued. "We spoke of emotional labor, consent, violence, communication, empathy, and vulnerability."

Vulnerability was difficult for Hicks to grasp because he was "trained and conditioned to be tough growing up." More from The Cut:

The Rethink program is the latest in a growing number of courses targeted toward people who identify as men, including the Men’s Project at the University of Wisconsin, Masculinity 101 at Brown, and the Duke Men’s Project at Duke. The goal, proponents say, is to help men examine their own biases and behaviors in order to cut down on misogyny and gender-based violence.

There’s no doubt that the problems these classes aim to tackle are pervasive ones — a reality that’s been made especially, painfully clear in recent days and weeks, as the Harvey Weinstein revelations have pushed discussions of sexual assault and harassment to the forefront. But can a class really be enough to chip away at something so deeply entrenched

Eric Mankowski, associate chair of the psychology department at Portland State University and head of the school’s Gender and Violence Intervention Research Team, has been seeking to curtail "toxic masculinity" for 25 years with his course "Psychology of Men and Masculinities," which he says seeks to “deconstruct how masculinity is socialized as a performative mask rather than a biological imperative.”

“It’s a promising approach,” Mankowski says of the new class, “but we don’t know whether they prevent sexual violence. Some studies show promising effects on attitudes and behavior intentions, but a single class is unlikely to undo years of socialization in toxic masculinity.”

“We’ve spent many years addressing survivors and victim behavior, but ethically, and in terms of efficacy, that’s incomplete,” he adds. “We have to address the roots.” And while course evaluations show that his students typically absorb what he teaches, Mankowski notes, that doesn’t necessarily mean that the class is making a real-world difference: “It may change beliefs about gender,” he says, “but does it change behavior?”

Hicks certainly feels his behavior has changed and that he has “been more deliberate about expressing emotions and making space for people.”

“You won’t be transformed by a ten-week class, but you’ve got to start somewhere. And ten weeks is better than no weeks,” Mankowski says. “The key is continued examination. You will have a difficult time maintaining anything unless you continue working on it.”

Both Ben Shapiro and Matt Walsh, not to mention myself, have issued constructive responses to this so-called "War on Toxic Masculinity." The prevailing theme amongst us: masculinity is a powerful force that must be harnessed correctly towards noble goals like marriage, family, country, God, Truth, and beauty.

Ironically, the same feminists who decry this culture of "toxic masculinity" simultaneously denounce their remedies as patriarchal conspiracies that oppress women. If Christianity teaches men to grow up, take responsibility for their actions, and seek monogamy with one woman for as long as they both shall live, then feminists teach women to avoid such men for fear of succumbing to the patriarchy.

Interesting thoughts here, it has inspired me to write an essay about what it truly means to be a man. Here goes:

You have a penis and you're comfortable with that.

Not my longest essay, to be sure -- but I'll tell everyone it's eight inches.

BuzzFeed Guys Test Their Testosterone Levels. The Results Are Exactly What You'd Expect.

In an experiment on male attractiveness where BuzzFeed fellas compete to see who's "hottest," four males had their testosterone levels tested.

And the results were exactly what you'd expect.

The normal T-score for an adult male ranges from 270-1,070 ng/dL, with men aged from 25-34 averaging out at 617 ng/dL. Not one BuzzFeed beta male met the 617 ng/dL average; rather, all the men testing below the level of a typical 85-year-old male (376 ng/dL). Moreover, three of the four men tested below the average range, and the male with the highest testosterone level, Eugene, still had a relatively low T-score with 363 ng/dL.

As noted by Elite Men's Guide, "testosterone is what makes a man a man." The hormone indicates muscle mass, body frame, sex drive, aggression, and the amount of hair on your chest.

The soyboys also tested their body mass index (BMI), facial beauty, and pheromones; their online dating profiles and office polls on dating material and physical attraction were taken into account, too.

This comes as no surprise, of course. Effeminate men are more prone to be the BuzzFeed, pro-socialism type. As noted by The Daily Wire in May, a recent academic study linked weak physique in men to socialist ideology:

An academic study from researchers at Brunel University London assessed 171 men, looking at their height, weight, overall physical strength and bicep circumference, along with their views on redistribution of wealth and income inequality. The study, published in the Evolution and Human Behavior journal, found that weaker men were more likely to favor socialist policies than stronger men.

So basically liberal men are pussy hats

Sounds like a social theory to me. Russ, are you a socialist? Laughing

Idea

Actually, those results don't fit your over-generalised hypothesis...

All that such a small amd limited test sample shows, is that a fair number of "liberal"/socialist_leaning males from one particular London University, appear to be a bunch of effeminate, wimpy, under-developed "pussy hat" girlymen..

Actually, many studies have confirmed that men with high testosterone levels are really laid-back, live-and-let-live types. Men with lower T levels tend to be really aggressive and antagonistic -- possibly to compensate for something.

Checking Your Male Privilege' Is Hollow Virtue Signaling. To Help Women, We Need More So-Called 'Toxic Masculinity.'

"Checking my male privilege" is trending on Twitter this lovely Monday morning, and I want to blow my brains out.

It's another useless reaction to the recent onslaught of accusations of sexual harassment and assault against women. This time it was New York Times columnist Charles Blow confessing his inherent sin of maleness and vowing to check his male privilege in order to combat perceived rampant sexism.

What a load of hollow garbage.

First, Blow cites dubious statistics from the National Sexual Violence Resource Center to paint America as some deeply misogynistic country overflowing with sexual harassment, assault, and rape. For the sake of Blow's argument, let's look past the questionable validity of these statistics and accept his premise: America is a hell hole for women.

Okay, it's basically Saudi Arabia up in here, so how does Blow suggest we combat this problem? With the promise of checking his male privilege, being a "feminist," and promoting "ally-ship."

"I am a man. Six-foot-two, 200 lbs. Able-bodied, and physically fit. I move through the world with the privilege of never even considering the idea of being sexually assaulted or harassed," writes the columnist.

"This is one of my male privileges, and I have to check it."

He continues: "It is not sufficient to simply not be a sexist yourself if you are a man. You must also recognize that you benefit from the system of sexism in ways to which you may not even be aware."

"Every man must become a feminist," he adds. "Every man must work as hard as every woman to elevate gender equality and to eliminate gendered violence."

Blow wants men to become male feminists, to empathize with women, to essentially throw up a trending hashtag to fight The Patriarchy. This is unsurprisingly hollow, and even counterproductive.

Accepting the premise that sexual assault is this prevalent, men must embrace their masculinity to combat the issue, not cower from and apologize for it.

We need to come to grips with the reality that men and women, while equal under the law, are different. Men must respect and work to protect women, not strip themselves of alleged toxic masculinity (or traditional masculine norms) to morph into Pajama Boys: passive, beta males trading in their responsibility to protect women for talking about their feelings cross-legged on a bed drinking hot chocolate.

Instead of emulating the creeps of Hollywood like Harvey Weinstein, who was praised as a male "feminist," we need men to be protectors of women. As noted by Ben Shapiro at National Review, "all men must strive to be sheepdogs."

"The sheepdog must be willing to do violence but must also ensure protection of the flock against all manner of horror. That’s the role of men in the social fabric. That doesn’t mean that women can’t participate in that task — but a society of men who refuse to protect will be a society that collapses in short order," wrote Shapiro.

No, don't cower from your maleness, embrace it if you actually care about women.

This collapse is not just the fault of men, of course. The feminist movement has worked tirelessly to blur the lines between male and female to ostensibly promote "equality." It's now looked at as patronizing for men to act as protectors, or for anyone to even acknowledge the innate differences between men and women.

Additionally, women are told that being empowered is to emulate a male jerk who sleeps with anything that moves. Instead, it would serve women well to embrace their biological differences and respect themselves enough to give themselves to only those worthy of them, ideally within the confines of marriage.

If you actually want to reduce misogyny and disrespect toward women, men should reject Blow's shallow recommendations and embrace the traditional masculinity which the Left has condemned as "toxic." We need more sheepdogs who respect women and are willing to act and fewer Pajama Boys only willing to virtue signal with a pathetic hashtag.

The University of Wisconsin-Madison, Princeton University and Northwestern University are going to great lengths to ensure ‘toxic masculinity’ does not appear on their campus’.

Campus Reform reports Wisconsin-Madison is hoping to employ a “Violence Prevention Specialist” who will work on “engaging men” to prevent sexual assault.

The job will require the “Violence Prevention Specialist” to create a programme on the “reduction of sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking,” with male engagement being the focus.

The successful hire will be required to have experience “with college men in healthy masculinity or social justice work,” and demonstrate an acute understand of “best practices” related to “engaging men.”

A University of Wisconsin-Madison spokesperson, Meredith McGlone, defended the job by telling Campus Reform, “although sexual violence is often considered a ‘women’s issue,’ we know that it affects people of all genders and that it’s important to engage men as well as women in preventing and responding to sexual violence.”

UW-Madison also offers a “Men’s Project,” a six-week course that gives male students the opportunity to explore the “problems” related to masculinity. The course intends to “prevent future violence” by instructing students to use a “transformative model of social justice allyship.”

Universities labeling men as toxic seems to be a current trend as Northwestern University looks to hire a “Director of Prevention and Men’s Engagement.”

The goal of the job is to reduce “sexual violence, relationship violence, and stalking and promoting healthy sexuality.”

Northwestern also recognizes men can also be victims of sexual violence, the new director will also “focus on male-identified survivors of sexual violence and any students seeking information on supporting a friend.”

Princeton University jumped on the “all men are sexist” bandwagon, projected by prominent feminists, in July.

Princeton announced that it was seeking to hire an “Interpersonal Violence Clinician and Men’s Engagement Manager” with the goal of combating “gender stereotypes” as well as overseeing a “violence prevention program” that highlights “toxic masculinity” on social media.

However, after facing backlash, the university changed the name of the position to “Prevention Programs Manager.”

Princeton hired professional counselor Jean Semelfort, whose work had previously focused on “engaging men in anti-violence and healthy masculinity.”

Laughing  Actually, he's learned all that in his anger management course.  Every Saturday he acts out in interactive small group sessions, learning impulse control and other management techniques.

It's slow going...but he's finally graduated to the cut and paste stage.  Razz
