I've definitely seen people go to prison for stealing less.

How can you take one man's liberty from him but let another go free for the same crime?

Please discuss.

A former GMTV presenter who fleeced taxpayers out of more than £75,000 in benefits to pay off her credit card debts has walked free from court. Louise Port, 37, an ex-sports, news and showbiz reporter on the ITV breakfast show, was spared jail as an 'act of mercy' due to suffering ill health including epilepsy. But the journalist - who took part in the London Olympics opening and closing ceremonies - was let off a curfew on Fridays so she could continue working in a nightclub in Vauxhall, south London. Port tried to sue GMTV for £500,000 for disability discrimination and unfair dismissal, insisting she was forced out for refusing to work night shifts, but lost the case.
