That dreadful hypocrite has resigned
First topic message reminder :
Scotland's chief medical officer has resigned after apologising for visiting her second home during the coronavirus lockdown.
Dr Catherine Calderwood said she was "deeply sorry" and resigned "with a heavy heart".
She said she agreed with First Minister Nicola Sturgeon that the "justifiable focus" on her behaviour risked distracting from the pandemic response.
Dr Calderwood was given a police warning after making the trip to Fife.

Re: That dreadful hypocrite has resigned
It was pretty bad, Vic, and it looks as if Tommy had a nasty dose of it too.
My fear is catching it again, as a fair number have. Like Tommy, I am not yet back to 100% health, it may take a couple of months.

I've found it for you, to save you the trouble of searching...
I'm pretty sure that I had it 2 months ago (not tested)... It did me in for a few days with chronic fatigue and body aches and pains, a bit of feeling hot and cold etc, zero appetite, then as that started to go it turned into a really nasty sore throat that felt like swallowing broken glass, a bit short of breath, and a cough...
This went on for about 9 days in total... Although it took another couple of weeks to get my strength back...
My brother has just had it too (again not tested)... He had pretty much the same symptoms as me and said just walking to the toilet made him out of breath...
If you think that you have had it, then all the more reason
to stay indoors and keep yourself safe.

I hardly moved when I had it... Barely left the house... Only went out when I had to get stuff from shops...
Was 2 months ago now so well over it... And would have only been contagious for the first few days of when I did have it....

Brutus wrote:I never really lost my taste or smell, but I lost my appetite and swallowing was agony, apart from ice cold water which numbed everything.
Big fever, migraine headache and every muscle ached, on top of no breath and the endless cough which even now still lingers.
I was on O2 for 3 days like Boris, but cannot recall to much, as apparently I was quite heavily sedated . I was on a ventilator for a while , I believe 1 night, but awoke and was just on a regular O2 mask .
I think you can perm any number of symptoms, all are solid indicators of the virus.
Bloody scary , nevertheless.
The sore throat and extreme pain when swallowing was the worst part of it for me... Was so painful that I couldn't sleep at night...
I have had plenty of sore throats in my time, I used to get tonsillitis as a kid every year, so I know what a bad sore throat feels like... But this was different...
And I've had the flu plenty of times too... But again, although some of the symptoms could be described as being 'flu like'... This was different...
I was taking soluble aspirin and paracetamol/codiene 500/30mg throughout the day to try to take the edge off it... And then drinking 6 - 8 beers in the evenings... Plus gargling salt water when the sore throat started... Which normally does the trick... But with this I actually went out and bought some fresh lemons and a pot of honey and was having hot water with half lemon squeezed in plus big desert spoon of honey plus a soluble aspirin in it, to try to calm down the nasty sore throat... In all my years I have never had a throat that bad where I have felt the need to do this remedy... But I'll tell you what... It fucking works a treat!!!
Only problem was that it wore off every night about 3 hours after I had gone to sleep... And then it was back with a vengeance waking me up and not being able to sleep again through the rest of the night...!
