It can sound scary to some people when I say “we need less government.” They think about roads, and schools, and food stamps. Let’s not even talk about those things yet. I hope one day we can.

Let’s begin by dismantling the TSA (which has never intercepted a deadly device, even in drills) and the DEA (which intercepts 1% of all drugs but wages 80,000 S.W.A.T. raids a year, trampling civil rights and destroying thousands of lives).

Let’s shut down border detention camps and stop imprisoning people without due process. That’s a few departments defunded and a few billion we’ve left in your pockets already. Then we’ll start firing the administrators and federal offices who’ve doubled the cost of college.

Let’s stop dictating to the world and to individuals how they must live.

Let’s shrink the size and scope of Washington DC’s power.

You’ll be amazed how much tax money, how much individual liberty, how much human dignity - can be restored when we do.

Biography

John Monds is a descendant of former slaves. His ultimate goal is to help restore the individual rights of ALL Americans and eliminate our governments undermining of our free society.

John is a native of Detroit, Michigan, and has spent over half of his life in the South. He finished high school in Florida and went on to earn a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Business Administration with a concentration of Banking and Finance from Morehouse College in 1987.

John is married to Dr. Kathaleena Monds, and has four children; Akintunde, Cazembe, Halima, and Malik. For the past 20 years he has been a full-time parent and homeschool teacher.

John has been a member of the Libertarian Party for over 15 years and has never belonged to any other political party. In 2008, he became the first Libertarian candidate to earn over 1 million votes. John is currently one of the parties involved in a federal lawsuit challenging ballot access in the state of Georgia, where he resides. John is committed to the Libertarian party and wants to present a true Libertarian method to the entire country and world.
