Lee Rigby's killers sentenced

Sentence just announced - though the Defendants weren't in court to hear it, as they had to be lead out of the dock screaming Allahu Akhbar before sentence was announded, and shouting that you and America will never be safe ... they fought with the prison guards and were pinned to the ground and dragged down to the cells, where they carried on shouting, you could hear them from the court.

The Judge had to speak to the family as they were so upset at this outburst, and then announced the sentence: Adebelajo gets a whole life sentence with no parole, and Adebowale got minimum term of 45 years.

Do you know what, it still isn't enough.

Hey, it seems to me to be the first real sentence I've heard out of the U.K. in quite some time! At least it wasn't some 4.5 years bullshit.

We have one of the most lenient sentencing regimes in the world. Commit minor traffic violations and you have the book thrown at you, you are hounded. Commit murder well it can be anything from a handful of years less 50%.

As if that family haven't been through enough, it much have been awful.  Pure evil  

They will die in prison under these sentences and so they should. Pure evil scum.

   A LIFE sentence was always going to be the only just outcome for this pointless outrage...

THAT small minority of extremists who always squeal louder for the death sentence to be re-instated miss one salient point ~ besides unnecessarily creating martyrs, you cannot continue the deserved punishment on a dead person !

(I wonder how the smelly'/Fuzzy'/heavenly'/'kevin "no_brains trust" will now reply to this expected outcome ~ considering the perverted attempts by smelly' and heavenly' over recent days to paint the lefties on here as supporting Muslim criminals and terrorists ?)

NOTE that no major or mainline Islamic group or sect have ever shown the slightest public support for these twisted converts; (no-one would be so stupid..).

They supported it by turning a blind eye from the start.

There were warnings of this happening years before - steps could have been taken to prevent this.

It is too late for the liberal left to claim they support Lee Rigby and his family now - they let them down years ago.

The sentence is pretty much what I expected really. These guys now have years to think about how they can't wage war any more. I hope their communications with people outside are monitored in case they try to recruit sympathisers to their cause.

Lee Rigby's mother collapsed and needed medical treatment after the dramatic sentencing hearing that saw her son's raging killers bundled out of court by guards.

Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale exploded with anger after judge Mr Justice Sweeney said they had betrayed Islam when they hacked the soldier to death near Woolwich barracks.

The pair were taken to their cells where they continued screaming, and the judge sentenced them in their absence.

Afterwards, Mrs Rigby said her legs "went from underneath me", and an ambulance was called.

Paramedics checked her blood pressure, before deciding she was well enough to return home.

The 47-year-old told The Sun newspaper: "This was the final insult to Lee. It was like they were jumping all over his grave."

I can't even imagine to begin how you live with this kind of loss and the aftermath.

I should think that anyone would have found it sinister when they started screaming and shouting, and I'm not at all surprised that Mrs Rigby felt faint.

..the pair of filthy bastard scum, my wish would be that other prisoners got them amd tortured them,with no mercy.

Just shows how evil they are making threats , abuse and insulting the family like this.

I'd lock em in a stone 4X6 cell...no qu'ran, I'd whip their bits off (since as I understand it..."it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than it is for a eunuch to enter paradise") Oh I have LOTS more....

That is true; there is nothing an Islamist wants more than to die for their cause- and the glorification of death would only go to promote repeat attacks. There is nothing glorious about rotting in jail- and the amount of time they will be in there it is likely, and hopeful, they will realize there is no all-knowing, loving, Allah watching over them, waiting for them, grateful to them; and when they realize that maybe then they'll crack, and die miserable and hopeless. As they should. The sentence is good, they will die in jail, like they should as has been said.
