Nick Clegg has poured scorn on Tory claims that David Cameron is set to rule out a coalition.

The Prime Minister is considering an election pledge not to share power again if he fails to win a majority, allies claimed.

That would force voters to choose between Mr Cameron and Labour, possibly supported by the Liberal Democrats.

But floating the idea could also shore up support for the PM ahead of the Euro elections where the Tories face a drubbing by the anti-Brussels UK Independence Party.

Conservative chiefs are braced for fury from their own MPs if that happens in the May poll.

And Lib Dems today brushed off the “no deal” threat.

A spokesman for Mr Clegg that it was up to Tories what they put in their election manifesto.

But the Deputy PM’s spokesman said: “We will see if they end up doing it.”

If no party gets a majority the Lib Dems will do their “duty” and try to form a coalition with another party, the spokesman added.

Perhaps Labour should do the same, and refuse to do a deal with these Liberal scumbags, in the event of a coalition with Labour, they want things kept as they are.

Kick them back to the wilderness, where they belong!
