As the impeachment of Donald Trump becomes increasingly popular—45 percent of Americans now support the investigation of the president over his dealings with Ukraine—nobody knows exactly how it's all going to play out. No, it's not the work of "more sophisticated and suave operators".  Trump (and Putin) is doing this on his own.  The only thing revealing about this is that never before have we seen such audaciousness in public, political life.

The Trump family is an organized crime family.  Where we have seen this behavior before, is in the news stories about Joe Gotti and the Gambino crime family, the Colombos, the Luccheses and the Genovese.

Only the setting is changed: instead of taking over the protection rackets, or the docks, the Trump family (with the help of Russians) has managed to take over the US Government.  Everything else is just business as usual.
