Corbyn Least Popular Opposition Leader in History
New polling by Ipsos MORI today has revealed Jeremy Corbyn is solidifying his position as the least popular Leader of the Opposition in the history of British politics. No surprise he keeps voting down an election…
At the end of June, Corbyn dropped to the lowest ever LOTO rating with -58 approval, but today he has surpassed even that – dropping a clear four points behind Michael Foot’s personal best. He went on to lead Labour to its worst defeat since before the second world war, granting the Tories a 144 seat majority…
This is a pretty dire situation for Labour, as PoliticalBetting points out, he would have to stage a recovery far in excess of what happened in 2017 to have any hope of winning. Labour faces bigger challenges of a more charismatic Tory leader, a resurgent Lib Dems, and far fewer voters who categorise themselves as ‘undecided’. Corbyn’s poll rating before that election was just -25%, half as unpopular as today…

I think Labour could be crushed in the next election leaving Labour as the third biggest party behind the Lib Dems.
Its astounding that Labour is still madly backing him as leader when he is driving the labour party into ruin it would be unlikely to recover from

Every party can recover from ruin. The Liberals are already recovering after near wipe out just 4 years ago.
The Conservatives under Hague and IDS seemed pretty lost, but they recovered under Cameron.
I must admit, I have been getting caught up in the whole 'Brexit will change the landscape of British politics forever' hype; BUT, Brexit will pass, whatever the result. The Brexit party will die, the Labour and Conservative parties will re-consolidate their bases again when people see that not much has changed beyond the EU question.
Plus, even with the looming election, let's not forget the BS First Past the Post system will still ensure that Labour and Conservative take up most votes and most seats. The system is brutally unfair to smaller parties like the Lib Dems AND Brexit Party, due to the fact we have 'areas' which predominantly vote one way.
Corybn will be gone if Labour don't win the next election. After that the recovery begins, hopefully they'll choose someone more 'electable' (since that's all that apparently matters these days).

But you are missing the point Eizel. Labour is now controlled with a majority of the far left and they would simple replace him with someone of the same political beliefs. In other words whilst labour is controlled by the far left they will continue to collapse. Yes in time Labour could recover but only when there is balance in the number of members. Art present the labour party has more undemocratic members. Yoiu wish to impose their beliefs onto society. Thier goal is simple and that is the destruction of the very democratic system we hold dear.
Labour has attracted to them the most extreme left wingers and whilst they hold control. Little is going to change.

You're thinking is too short term.
Consistent losses under Miliband then Corbyn would lead to a dramatic rethink even by Labour members who really want someone more to the Left in charge.
Labour looked doomed under Michael Foot, but Blair brought them back from the brink by moving to the centre.

Yes but back then Labour had a mix of people with beliefs. That the majority of memebers are Momentum. Whilst they hold the reigns they will doom labour and this is being seen by the opinion polls.
Corbyn is the only opposition leader that has no policy on Brexit
Corbyn has given an interview to BBC News Northern Ireland in which he explains his fears about supporting the backstop were because it would trap the UK in a customs union with the EU… Only problem with that defence is membership of a customs union is currently Labour Party policy…
I mean this shows how the extreme left are taking control of Labour

We'll see. Things can change very quickly in politics, and there haven't been times as interesting and turbulent as these
