A new law allowing for hate groups to be designated and punished before they turn to violence is needed in order to tackle far-right extremists, according to a report by Tony Blair’s thinktank, which also seeks powers to ban marches and media appearances.

Generation Identity, a racist movement that promotes a conspiracy theory that white people are being replaced by non-whites in Europe, would be among the groups targeted by new legislation, the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change report said.

The law could sit alongside proscription powers, banning groups concerned with terrorism, but would not be directly linked to violence or terrorism. Rather, it would designate hate groups as organisations that spread intolerance and antipathy towards people of a different race, religion, gender or nationality, the report said.

Offences related to designation as a hate group should be treated as civil, not criminal, the thinktank recommends.

conspiracy theory? - It's true

The Kalergi Plan

In his book «Praktischer Idealismus», Kalergi indicates that the residents of the future"United States of Europe" will not be the People of the Old Continent, but a kind of sub-humans, products of miscegenation. He clearly states that the peoples of Europe shouldinterbreed with Asians and colored races, thus creating a multinational flock with no qualityand easily controlled by the ruling elite. Kalergi proclaims the abolition of the right of self-determination and then the elimination of nations with the use of ethnic separatist movements and mass migration. In order for Europe to be controlled by an elite, he wants to turn people into one homogeneous mixedbreed of Blacks, Whites and Asians. Who is is this elite however? Kalergi is particularlyilluminating on this

Eh?

How did you leap from a view on tackling hate groups with civil actions, to this white supremacist conspiracy theory?
When we already do with some Islamic hate groups?
Personally I think this is the wrong way to tackle any hate group. As they just continue underground. What is best is taking on the hate speech itself and to show up the absurdity and hate of such thinking, but am surprised you would take such a leap from their proposal to this Gelico:

The Kalergi plan (Italian: piano Kalergi), or sometimes called the Coudenhove-Kalergi Conspiracy, is a far-right, anti-semitic, white nationalist conspiracy theory, which states that a plot to mix white Europeans with other races via immigration was constructed by Austrian politician Richard von Coudenhove-Kalergi and promoted in aristocratic European social circles. The conspiracy theory is most often associated with European groups and parties, but it has also spread to North American politics

I mean are you suggesting that what people are already, mixed ethnically over thousands of years. Is somehow goling to now make people more controllable? That conspiracy is just about the most hateful racism going. Viewing people as inferior based on social constructs of race. You said the conspoiracy is true, so please explain to me, how you think its true?

Kalergi nonsense aside, this Blair proposal is horrible -- reminds me of that Tom Cruise mind crime flick that I can't remember the title of. You can't be considered a danger until, at minimum, you've used a healthy dose of violent rhetoric. And you shouldn't be punished for being violent until you've actually committed violence.

As much as I look down upon these ridiculous white supremacist window lickers, they have rights, too.

Minority Report, that's what it was called. I had to google "Tom Cruise mind crime flick."
