More fun in Texas
ABC News wrote:Gunman on the run after 2 killed in Houston highway shooting
A gunman and his accomplice are still on the run after killing two people on a major highway in Texas during rush hour Thursday evening, authorities said.
Houston Police are now offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect in the attack.
The deadly shooting occurred just before 6 p.m. local time when the suspect's car struck another vehicle on Interstate 10 in Houston, causing it to spin out similar to a PIT maneuver. The suspect and another individual in his car got out in the middle of the freeway.
Then the suspect, believed to be armed with an assault-style rifle, opened fire at the other vehicle, according to officials with the Houston Police Department.
The gunman followed the car as it rolled backwards down the freeway, firing multiple rounds. He continued to shoot at the windshield even after the vehicle came to a stop, police said.
The vehicle's occupants -- two men who were 25 and 33 years old -- were killed. Narcotics were later found inside their car, police said.
A bystander who saw the shooting took out his own gun and fired several rounds at the suspect, who then ran back to his car, a dark-colored Sedan, and fled the scene, police said.
It's unknown if the suspect was hit.
Police described the suspect as a man in his 20s who was wearing a red shirt.
The section of the highway where the shooting occurred remained closed overnight while investigators processed the crime scene.
The investigation is ongoing and police are considering all possible motives. Police are looking for both men from the suspect's vehicle.
"Road rage? An accident? Narcotics? We don't know yet," Houston Police Assistant Chief W.R. Dobbins told reporters at a press conference Thursday night.
ABC News' Ella Torres contributed to this report.
The President, Caligula Trump, says that this gun violence is due to mental illness. Are all who carry guns insane? I can believe it...just need confirmation.

Um, do either of you know a thing about Houston? (Maddog, for shame! Unless you're just winding him up.)
Houston is the most ethnically diverse city in America, and it's among the half-dozen or so large cities in Texas that always goes to the Democrats. The sort of place where you can attend services at a Hindu temple and then decide whether you want to go out for five-star soul food, Ethiopian cousine or something called "Viet-Cajun," while high-fiving a few Muslims and Sikhs along the way. (And you yourself are second-generation Filipino.)

My bad. Southlake is full of really rich people and huge mansions, not rednecks and trailers. It has about the same percentage of black people as the UK, a bit more actually. Not in anyway a hotbed of racism, but they did have a Mexican cartel dude murdered in broad daylight in the middle of the town years back, so that was kind of exciting.
Re: More fun in Texas
My point still stands about Houston. This was likely gun-enhanced road rage, not racism.

Some of the dumbest rich people I've ever encountered -- I was stunned. I attended their city council meetings and covered their news for a couple years, then covered their crime later as a breaking news reporter. They're like a big collection of wealthy, goofy Disney characters -- in general.

Well, there are a lot of folks from California there.
But it's also very conservative and very white.

It's just a modifier pronoun. Don't you use adjectives and adverbs? Redneck returns the favor by ridiculing/dismissing my doctorates. Isn't that doxing...essentially inventing an alternative past for another poster? Indeed, isn't that called lying about another poster?
Don't the Mean Girls routinely call Wolf, wetwipe? Does didge not routinely call adversaries 'twat'? What's good for the goose is good for the gander. If you want an explanation, adjectives and adverbs lend color to opinions, and are not opinions what we are all about?
Or post a few more rules.

Quill, sometimes people can just be open-minded to a story and question stuff, I do it all the time, but that doesn’t mean they’re one way or another.
Don’t you think questioning an idea makes you less rigid? I hate labels.
Sometimes I will “seem” right wing because I won’t take the simple left wing view, does that make me an english redneck?

You want to check your stats there quill...
There are around 30,000 gangs in the US... and about 800,000 to 900,000 gang members...
A third of whom are African American... and just under half are Hispanic...
And around 15000 gang related murders every year...
So you are either terribly misinformed and ignorant of the facts... or you are lying...

Yet, when it comes to Hitler's Germany, circa 1932, you won't hesitate to "label" would you? This is like that. This country is about to blow up at any time, and watch...it will be along racial, white supremacist lines...and straight down the Mason-Dixon boundary.

OMG...where should I start? Guns? Racism? Violence? Lies and cover ups? Voter suppression? Police shooting unarmed blacks and Mexicans? Police hog tying blacks? Civilians hog tying blacks (and killing them)? So many examples, so little time.
These things, and much more, are characteristics of southern culture.
Okay, but she was asking about Maddog, not about your opinions on southern culture. Do you think that whole screed about guns, racism, violence, etc. applies to Maddog specifically?
I admit I don't know much about him, but I've never seen him advocate violence, nor say anything racist. Sure, he supports gun ownership, but I doubt it's because he supports mass shootings.
Sometimes I think you get so focused on generalities that you don't treat people as individuals. And that is the logical fallacy that lies at the heart of bigotry.

Yes. Redneck is a classic case of a southerner and everything that is wrong with the south. And, southerners are what is sour about America.
That's why I said, I sussed him out when he first arrived! It wasn't platitudes. I recognized him straight out the gate.

So to be clear, you're accusing Maddog of being racist, violent, etc. on the basis of nothing he's actually said, but -- presumably -- on your one-dimensional view of white southerners.
Do you think that's fair?

Ben, I'm a little different from other snowflake Dems. Like Republicans, I shoot first, and ask questions later. I've seen feather merchants at work...Obama letting Cheney go...Pelosi cowering at the prospect of standing on the front lines, impeaching Trump. It sucks. Look at Redneck...he has no respect for anyone but those like him. You gotta fight fire with fire.
I've always sympathized with Dems, except for one thing. They are cowards. I'm not.

He learned to stereotype and generalize while getting one of his 17 doctorates, while serving in the Peace Corps and inventing penicillin.

Why, Redneck...you're jealous. Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is treatable. Look for a psychiatric clinic.

Two posts in a row. Wow...Redneck your OCD is getting the best of you.
Look, I understand your jealousy. You resent anyone who can best you at every juncture. Your night school education has put a ceiling over your head, above which you cannot rise. Perhaps if you had worked a little harder in High School, you might have gotten into university. Harder still, you might have gotten into a premium university, as I did.
Then if you work hard there, impress a few professors, they will write letters and sponsor you throughout your life. It keeps paying dividends. It keeps paying rewards. Now you can go anywhere you want, do anything you fancy. You get into even better graduate studies, at even better universities. You can go as far, and as long as you like.
You? You fooked up. You were probably into cars and girls...got drunk on Southern Star Beer and high on weed every afternoon, out behind the junior college. You learned nothing, and your teachers knew you as a registration number only. See? Nobody ever taught you how the system works.
I understand your grief. You feel like someone dropped you somewhere along the path of life. The first thing you do is, you look around you and you see the many, many others who have gone higher and faster. You resent them. Over a Southern Star (still drinkin' eh?) and a little weed, you project your own failure onto your betters. And your self-loathing fuels your venom.
But the truth is, you dropped yourself. You kept taking the cheap path, instead of the one that required work, but was full of reward. You skipped too many classes to drink Southern Star and smoke weed out behind the junior college.
You chose your life, and I chose mine. While you bawl about it over a keyboard, I lean back and look at the degrees and awards on my office wall...and I've got nothing to be sorry about. But you've got everything to be sorry about...and you cry and curse everyone but yourself, cause it helps you to reduce the cognitive dissonance you feel about your life. But it doesn’t change anything.
