Alabama's total ban on abortions
Alabama today passed a law totally banning abortion, and placing a 99-year prison sentence on any doctor who performs one. It's a direct challenge to Roe v. Wade.
Apparently, they think enough conservatives have been installed on the Court, that they will get a reversal.

Nothing shows up the governing council of Alabama better than this scandalous new law.
Tells you everything about them that you need to know.
They sound like a bunch of deranged sharia jihadists.
Crusty old dinosaurs dictating to their womenfolk what they can or can't do with their own bodies.
I pity the women trapped in that primitive little hellhole, .... it's literally the land that time forgot.

Re: Alabama's total ban on abortions
I heard the governor of Alabama on TV last night. She said with great confidence, life begins at conception. [sic]
By whose authority? Well, I don’t believe in the old man in the sky thesis, so that won’t work. Besides, whose word are you going to take that he said that? Medical science is silent on the question, saying that it is a philosophical, or definitional question. Philosophers are dumbfounded by the issue and can only guess.
That leaves only the antecedent causal thesis: a thing is only its component parts that went into making it. Now the precedent parts going into making a life is a sperm and an ovum. There may be some more spiritual parts (what is a soul?), but that we don’t really know about.
The issue is known causes. What do we leave out, and how do we craft a law that is inclusive? Conception is merely the joining to the sperm and ovum…it’s not even anything new. So, by logic the law should vouchsafe the sperm and the ovum.
I can think of no way except to make sacrosanct every ejaculation and every ovulation…for short we may speak of the ejacu-ovum constituants. Every ejacu-ovum has a right to survive on the premise that it might generate life. Well, it makes as much sense as conception, which is the same thing.
So, every ejacu-ovum must be preserved, and our laws should reflect that. Men cannot ejaculate but they must keep a petri dish nearby, and put the sample immediately in the refrigerator.
The law must have severe consequences or it will never be obeyed. So, all masturbation and sexual union must be into a petri dish, unless it is used for inter-uteral application. As Alabama law reflects, a man who disobeys this should be given a 99-year sentence.
Imagine the prison conversation: “What are you in for?”
“Unlawful ejaculation…got the max.”
“What…ya didn’t save it? That’s some wicked shit! Same as murder, ya know.”

Blimey, it's like a science fiction film, reminds me of films like Fahrenheit 451. Total domination by the state.

Absolutely, according to Alabama's logic. Those masturbating men walking around should be jailed.

I guess the juvenile penitentiary will be filled with hormonal young lads who committed the outrageous crime of having a wet dream.

Yes, young males have always been a problem. Fast cars; motorcycles; daredevil stunts to impress the girls; wild sports; aggressiveness; and now wild and uncontrolled ejaculations. Will it ever end??
I think you're wrong to single out juvenile penitentiaries. In Alabama they are already discussing how if you can have a wet dream, you should know better. If you are that mature, you should be tried as an adult.

Alabama's braindead governor now claims that "life begins at conception"...
The uneducated bitch has obviously never heard of ectopic pregnancies, miscarriages nor 'spontaneous abortion'.. That ignorance is what happens when your mother and father were too closely related before they got married.
Will that jumped up little dicktator now be trying to sue God/Mother Nature/Gaia for damages, for every failed pregnancy in her backwoods little state ?

As opposed to leftwing justice - pedophiles given tax payer funded legal aid to escape criminal justice and then given tax payer funded protection to escape natural justice
The thing with the death sentence is that innocent people die for crimes they didn't commit, but you can't make an omelette without cracking a few eggs
Leftwing justice ensures the guilty are never judged, and no one likes to eat a steaming dog turd, though I'm sure you enjoy getting paid for serving em up, eh Mr lawyer man??

Having parents who are closely related doesn't mean that you can't disagree with anyone else. You're the one who's ignorant. Parents who are close relatives would need to have the same recessive gene, and both would need to pass it on, in order for a child to have an inherited disorder. They could of course have the same dominant gene which both could pass on, but that wouldn't be very relevant.
