So now it’s not mods, it’s a “sycophant”. Do make up your mind so that your own argument holds some weight dearest.

One mod is over 'zealous' in dishing out unjustified bans, which often have nothing to do with the post, but more to do with his dislike of the poster/s.

AH...you are beginning to see half the point Andy....now grow up and understand the rest of it
often it is not "the post" as such, and certainly rarely the opinion posted, BUT neither is it a like /dislike of a poster.....the second part yo are looking for is "disruptive behaviour...." trouble making
YOU of course consider anyone who's "opinion" differs from yours to be "trouble making" ......I dont...however I DO consider deliberately provoking or attempting to provoke another poster into a "flame war" to be "trouble making"

That's utter bollocks, and you know it.
I am as diametrically opposite to someone like Nicko as it. possible to get. Opposing politics, opposing Brexit.
But we have been having a friendly and respectful chat offline.

Re: POLL: Do you think the mods at NewsFix enforce the rules fairly?
Well, so far we've got one vote that we favor the left and another that we favor the right, so that's right where we want to be
Re: POLL: Do you think the mods at NewsFix enforce the rules fairly?
I voted "not at all"... and think that the "progressive" left agenda and those who promote it, are heavily favoured...!
I would be interested to know who voted "yes" in above poll...?

It would help a great deal, if the four people (so far) who voted “not at all” would tell us why.

IT'S A TRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!
stay away boys, and dont answer.
anytime a woman says "so what do you think is not working in our relationship", its a goddamn bear trap and one ive seen and avoided a thousand times and more.
besides eddie its a poll not a questionaire, respect our voting privacy, no one knows who voted for what lets not start outing folks. you never knew who voted "not at all"
could be anybody.

On the basis that somebody has to do the job, and that "somebody" isn't going to be me, I voted "yes."
And why not? I have no complaints about the way things are run.

I voted yes. Even though I disagree with some of their opinions or views on issues, they do a fair job in sometimes difficult circumstances. I wouldn’t do it for all the bacon in the world.

Why do you think that?
Also, looks like the Yes voters have been more open about their votes than the Not at all voters
I haven't and won't vote, though generally believe are fair as can be.

I voted ''not at all''
I thought smelly wouldn't even bother to vote just to be contrary
I thought everyone else would either say leans too left or leans too right or mods are fair
i wanted to be the turd in the hamper

Hi Gelico
Okay, lets put this to the test
Do you think any of the moderations against me were unfair?
I dont think they were and all of them has done this to me
Sometimes, in the past I have whinged over this, but do not have a leg to stand on
So who has been let off in your opinion?
Dont forget Wolf has been basemented many times. In fact Quill has been on a number of occasions. So has Andy. All being left wing.
So who on the right has faced unfair moderation?
Granted I will take a level of mistakes that could possible happen, but how many based on the actual rules?
I have in fact stood up for people that wished me dead, claimed I fucked my mother etc. There is only one instance I thought was unfair, when somebody doxed me, which the first time, saw nothing happen, but the reality, the worst offenders do get moderated and can understand some slack for posters, who generally dont break the rules.
Is that a fair summary?
Don't forget, people are human and do make mistakes, but you cannot fault the mods, by standing by each other universally on decisions. Which they need to be. Even when a decision may seem harsh. I have been a mod in the past and it sometimes does come down to interpretation, but I do not see many incidents where they get this wrong. I would say they are accurate 95% of thge time based on the rules.
Frankly, I think there is too many rules, but that is my opinion.
I certainly dont see many occasions, where they have gotten the rules wrong. You may disagree on this based on leeway, but that again is personal opinion.

Maybe you have more in common with them than you think!
Maybe we mods need to get woke about which micro-aggressions trigger members of the smelly-bandit community (SBC)!

when i was a boy and my mom used to try and punish me by confining me to my bedroom, she said it never worked cause when she came to say all was forgiven, she would find me asleep, and she said that theme continued throughout my childhood, she could never punish me because i would always turn it to my advantage.
you tried to punish me by attaching a ball and chain to me ankle, all you did was give me a wrecking ball.
yeah im gonna hit you with it, and clealry im being an irritant, which is fine by me.

actually i agree with smelly
it wasn't fair that he was automatically basemented without being challenged in any way
it wasn't fair that he spent at least 10 days in there with your paltry excuse being 'i forgot'
it wasn't fair that even on his return no one bothered to find out what his post motives were
in fact it's shit imo
oh and incidentally, ''I like a little alone-time'',,,,,,pffft, just own it and say ''I like a cheeky wank now and again''

Oh well, I already owned up that I made a mistake in leaving him basemented for 10 days. I'm not going to grovel.
I'm certain enough that smelly knows what he was doing that I don't regret punishing him, but I'd have left him there for 2 days had I not forgotten about him.
And lastly, get your mind out of the gutter, gels

How was it not fair?
Can you explain his comment to compare clearly Africans to a chimp?
All you are doing gelico, is taking his view point, negtaing the fact. Only before this on another debate. He had said how much he lacked any view of Africans in a previous debate
The site has a clear rule on racism and he is overtly racist many times and not moderated on his views
All you are doing is taking his wrod as fact
Maybe you can say how what he said was not racist, based on his already known views of people from Africa
You then have to ask, whether you are being fair yourself, knowing he is in fact racist and openly about this.
Frankly, he has suckered you in to feel sympathy for him

Gelico, I am an ardent supporter of israel and watched smelly celebrate the deaths of Palestinian childred, that died in a bus crash.
Some people like smelly look for attention over what they say and he often has argued for racial differences that have no biological bases
You need to put 2 and 2 together
It does not matter whether he believed this, his intent was clearly to be racist
Would he have said the same to some Boers?
Guest- Guest
Re: POLL: Do you think the mods at NewsFix enforce the rules fairly?
I would also add Gelico
Are you basing this off this one decision?
Like I said, what other decisions, do you disagree with?
Not going to have a go, but would love to understand what you think he meant, compared to what he really meant?
He had been telling quill on a different thread about not caring about Africans.
Either he is a racist baiter or very simple minded

ooooh, smelly, how mysterious you sound,,,,I like it
well, you could close your account quietly and drift off
or you could do a massive flossie mcflounce routine and close your account with a great deal of noise and ceremony
or you can carry on banging on and on about the same thing, knowing it is pointless
or you can accept that you have now successfully demonstrated that the mods treatment of you was not fair and move on
what is it exactly that you want?

I'm no sycophant. It's the option you'd automatically choose by default - if you have no issues with the mods.

Re: POLL: Do you think the mods at NewsFix enforce the rules fairly?
Sending a child up to his/her room is beneficial to the mum cos if she's fed up or exhausted, it's good to get a misbehaving kid from under her feet, and out of sight.
IE it's not just a punishment, it's sometimes a way of giving the mum some peace & quiet for a few precious minutes.

Ask so you could give some BS answer and worm your way off the hook, you mean?
So go on then, what did you mean. If it's convincing enough I might even apologise
