Waitrose pulls chocolate ducklings from sale after complaints of racism
Waitrose has apologised over "racist" Easter ducks after customers complained that the dark brown one was labelled as "ugly".
An £8 trio of white, milk and dark chocolate Easter ducklings caused offence among a "small number" of customers for being labelled as "fluffy", "crispy" and "ugly".
The complaints centered around the the dark brown one being described as the "ugly" one, with some implying it was racist.
Following the feedback, the supermarket temporarily withdrew the ducklings from sale while it redesigned the packaging to remove the labels. The redesigned packs are now back on sale in stores and online.
The names are likely to have been inspired by the song "the ugly duckling", from the literary fairy tale by Danish poet and author Hans Christian Andersen, later adapted by Disney.

I wouldn't see racism here, but it does seem odd calling a chocolate Easter Bunny Ugly.
Hardly making it attractive to buy for kids is it?

Gotta luv the way that the right-wing media and moronic bloggers will instantly label the anonymous "p/c" protestors as being "left wing", "snowflakes", even socialists/"communists" whenever a petty controversy like this arises...
When it's much more likely that the initial "racism" claims could quite well have originated with the store's own advertsing agency/department..
Working on the age old theme of "any advertising is good advertising".
Besides which, this particular example of "faux outrage" bait advertising wouldn't work in many other places, anyways, especially where there are genuine "little black ducks" :

One shopper, who posted a photo of the item online, said she overheard fellow customers saying "this is not right", adding: "I agree, doesn't look good at all. Thousands of other options...why ugly?"

Meanwhile, that braindead ultra-right video-blogger shown in your opening has launched straight into his usual "regressive leftists" rhetoric...

He is a mixed ethnic liberal
Where else would this have come from?
Clearly the left. As would anyone on the right make such a claim?
