I used to play the violin and viola in Orchestras mate
So which do you do you find better?
I love strings, but the oboe here is magical

Re: so what are you guys doing now
magical, the two cellists in the first clip are utterly absorbed into their playing, talk about putting heart and soul into it...
not a great fan of the oboe as a solo instrument but non the less a great performance.

Used to have my mother sing this to me to help me sleep, when having poor asthma as a toddler
I never understood why I knew this song until my mother told me years later. That she sang this to me

I just remember she used to sing this when I had asthma. I always remember when she did. It always help calm me. When I had an attack. Still would be wheezy, but it would help relax me

At the minute I am sat at the kitchen table, surfing the net (how modern am I?) and looking out onto the back garden where the sun is shining, the flowers are blooming, and my towels are gently blowing dry on the line.
I have a cup of coffee and till 1pm have the simple pleasure of just relaxing....life is good.

Actually the training was very good. Much better than I anticipated. We even got our own free refurbished laptop with Linux from an organization that is trying get laptops to the students in very poor communities and get a laptop lending program for patrons in libraries that serve economically depressed areas in state. We lend WIFI hotspots now and this will be a great addition to our service. Now I just have to talk my boss into it!

I have missed your chatty posts Cass. I find these threads enlightening...little glimpses into other peoples lives.
I am about to get ready for a trip into Bury, local little town that has a very busy bustling market and great little cafes and shops.

Good grief I missed this, sorry! Thank you
I visited Bury market once and long to do it again as I hear the food stalls/shops are especially great.
Right now I’m sitting in the sofa not making dinner (stir fried glass noodles) because I’m trapped by a purring cat.

I'm drunk and in love and unable to contain myself, because come Friday, I'll be hopping back on a plane to be reunited with the woman who makes more sense to me than anything else in the world.
And a bit freaked out about what the kind people at customs will ask me, but you know what? I'm not breaking any fucking laws so lay off me!

Yay! Be there in October when I’m over or else. Bring brisket. Tell yer wife to clean the spare bedroom. I expect bacon and sausages for breakfast.
I’m off to bed to read a good book and eat cookie dough.

FFS, get there early! I have to depart by early October at the very latest because of THE LAW and THE MAN. Man, fuck the man!
And I may be bringing beer. Which will be all gone quite quickly. But here's a look:

Re: so what are you guys doing now
had a good day last friday...half term for grandson so we went clay shooting
his first time using anything bigger than a .410
this time a 20 gauge using 21 gram lite clay rounds...
no trouble with recoil but he found the gun a bit heavy towards the end
considering this wasn his first use of this gun on a blustery day in quite bad weather his 8/20 was quite respectable.

Have him lean forward.
What make and model is that shotgun. Looks fairly nice from what I can see. I wouldn't mind having a nice over under.

Vic, have to agree with Dog, the stance is all wrong, get him to lean slightly "into the Gun" and Check for his Master Eye. Hope you don't mind my comments, I used to teach novice Shooters at my local Shooting Ground. Good on you for introducing a young lad to the Shooting fraternity !
