49 massacred innocent Muslims prove words can have lethal consequences, Mr President

I wish I’d never watched it.

But before I understood the full horror of the Christchurch terrorist’s disgusting live-streamed footage, I clicked on a Twitter link and saw his murderous rampage unfurl in real time, from his own body-camera, like some gruesomely graphic video war-game.

Only this was real life, with real people being shot dead – men, women, children.

As a journalist it’s what I’m paid to do but it was one of the most appalling, disgusting, gut-wrenching and terrifying things I’ve ever seen.

To witness an act of such sickening depravity is something I sadly cannot now un-see.

But what it did show me is just how dark and dangerous a human mind can be twisted.

Yes I couldn’t bring myself to watch it

And yet when this guy was at the peak of his ranting vitriol and hatred, I don't think I remember one Muslim going public about how disgraceful he was/is.

Jules has deleted the lol, as her post has been edited. I dont think a lol next to speaking about the hateful manifesto is making light of the attack either.

I do not think for one minute that Jules was making light and fun of this horrible event

Hiya! This happens to me even more on other sites. I delete errant emojis if I spot them.
Strange that I can see forum emojis and images clearly on google & firefox browsers but with internet explorer it's very much hit & miss.

I didn't see anything on the news either. I'm sure there is protest and I wish that this was shown more often. BTW...had a nice day out at our local mosque the other day. They have an open day every so often and we go along and have a chat and take part in the activities they do there. I live in a multicultural part of the country, and love that we have this diversity. I can walk across the road and buy just about any ethnic food I could wish for. You don't see this so much outside our cities. One of the better aspects of city living.
