I was buying beer last night behind an odd couple.  He had a knife like I carry clipped inside his pocket.  Hardly unusual. But clipped to his belt he had about 6-8 inch fixed blade, in a sheath. Then I looked at his female friend and realised she had the handle of a small bat sticking out of the back of her collar and actually had a small bat inside her shirt, running down her back.
