A judge has revealed the identity of the killer of six year old Alesha MacPhail today, after the 16 year old was tried anonymously due to his age.
Underage killers have received anonymity in the UK after the James Bulger case, and the problems that ensued when his underage killers Thompson and Venables were named.

Should Aaron Campbell, the 16 year old who lives on the Isle of Bute have been named?

"The depraved 16-year-old boy who raped and murdered Alesha MacPhail was caught out by his own mother's CCTV as he came home in the middle of the night after killing the six-year-old girl, it emerged today.
Chilling footage revealed Aaron Campbell arriving and leaving twice outside his Isle of Bute family home on the night Alesha was abducted before her naked body was dumped in the woods with 117 injuries on July 2 last year.
His mother believed her teenage son might have seen something relevant to the investigation - and contacted police after reviewing the CCTV footage, despite her son being adamant he had nothing to do with the 'barbaric and wicked' murder on the Scottish holiday island.
The cat-torturing, adrenaline junkie teenager - who was obsessed with gaining YouTube followers, playing violent video games such as Fortnite and recording himself performing acrobatic moves on a trampoline - had received anonymity due to his age, but a judge unmasked him today."

Now... the main problem I have with all this... is that the article and all other reports I have read, claim that his tracksuit bottoms and boxer shorts were found nearby on a beach to where the girl was found...

But the op article shows cctv footage that was used in prosecution evidence, showing that he left home at approx 2.00am fully clothed... and returned home at approx 3.35am fully clothed... although it is claimed that he abducted raped and killed the girl during this time while also leaving his pants and tracksuit bottoms on a nearby beach...

So how did he then arrive home fully clothed...!?

I'm not sure why to some this conclusion or the juries verdict should seem strange.
This is a local reporters report from what happened at the court proceedings before the lad was named.

This part sounds pretty conclusive.

"His DNA then pinned him at the scene – it was found on at least 14 places on Alesha’s body.
Fibres from the dumped jogging bottoms were also discovered on his tiny victim’s clothes."

What if the person on the CCTV was not the boy coming and going... but the father creeping in to grab some clothes and the knife...?

As the boy and the father both look similar height and build etc...

I dont know because the CCTV footage I have seen only shows him when he returned at 3.35am.. He could have had other clothes with him when left at 1.55am.

Why would police manufacture evidence to frame him if someone else murdered her?

The tracksuit does seem odd, when he arrived home at 3.35am he was wearing long pants, he apparently showered and left a few minutes later wearing shorts.
However the jury saw and heard all the evidence, and they, along with the police and the judge are convinced it was him.
I dont think there is any doubt that it's him on the cctv, his own mother forewarded it to the police....do you think she was trying to set him up too?

What is your theory if you think he may have been wrongly convicted?
