More than 180,000 people have signed a petition calling for secondary schools to start at 10am and finish later. Katharine Birbalsingh and Biba Tanya debate whether or not teenagers should get lie-ins on weekdays.

Get to bed earlier, its that simple to get a good nights sleep

How will these teens cope, when they start working?

Sleep

IF those silly fools who signed that idiots' petition were allowed to sleep in an extra couple hours each morning, they would then simply be staying up later each night -- meaning zero net gain...

Far more productive would be to kick those lazy little grots out of bed an hour earlier each morning, and give them a 45 minute exercise session to get ready for the school day..

And ban junk food/high starch foods on weekdays, as well.

If they have parents who work, who will make sure they get to school on time?
