Emma Woodhouse, 27, from Lancaster, gave birth by emergency c-section to twins Jessica and Bella at only 29 weeks in June this year, after Jessica's umbilical cord ruptured in the womb.

While Bella miraculously survived the traumatic birth, Jessica was tragically stillborn despite medics battling for 22 minutes to resuscitate her.

But thanks to a 'cooling cot' Emma, who is also already mother to three older children, was able to bring Jessica home and spend a fortnight caring for her daughter; bathing her, taking her for walks with her husband Paul, and even introducing her to their other children before she was cremated.

I get her pain, I really do. Who wouldn't. She looks absolutely heart broken. But two weeks? I'm not sure how I'd feel. I think I'm more accepting of death, and feel that there's nothing in that body.

Dunno. Hard one.

It's a bit bizarre, even gross. I see her need to bond and grieve, but I think she might find a better ritual by which to express it. It's a good way to get the authorities looking sideways at you.

It's kinda like keeping a leg o'lamb roast around, 'cause the little feller was so cute.

And what's with the husband?

Hard to judge.
The death of a child must be the hardest thing to cope with. Whatever gets you through it, and makes the memory less heartbreaking cant be a bad thing.
