Trump: the scary women and children.
North Korea, healthcare and underwater wages, and Trump wants us to shake our knees because a few women and children are a thousand miles a way, in southern Mexico, coming to America to escape murderers and gangs in Central America.
We've got bigger fish to fry. Billionaires get huge tax breaks, and inflation is making us poorer by virtue of the rising consumer price index and falling wages. Los rent jobs are literally creating poverty.

Wages for average workers in the US are actually stagnant, nicko...
It's been other incomes -- salaries, commissions, top-end bonuses, dividends -- that have dragged the "average wage levels" up..
While the number of jobs are up, the total number of hours being worked are down -- meaning that the 'mean take home paypackets' for average Aymerikens are going south, while the cost of living keeps on increasing.
As for real world employment levels -- as in other Western economies (including Oz and NZ), someone in a new job only has to do one hour a week of paid employment to drop off the unemployment statistics !!!
What most of us would consider an underemployed worker in a casual position, looking for more hours, todays' guvm'nts are misrepresenting as "hundreds of thousands of 'new' jobs.."
And all the while, the gap between well-paid workers and the low-paid, poor and unemployed is growing wider and wider, while the 'middle income'/'middle class' is shrinking by the day.
With too much money staying in the pockets of the "Big End of Town", instead of circulating throughout the economy.

This is the problem! not just in the USA but in Australia and I believe the UK too
Wages are rising for at the top end far quicker than the bottom end
the middle class jobs are disappearing, and the avenues for economic advancement with them.
creating a greater divide between the haves and the have nots.
Trump didn't cause this but he has done little to stop it either.

Most presidents do that, actually.
Bill Clinton pointed out research that shows that the vast majority of presidents have tried to make their campaign promises into reality.
Trump is a disaster, and no amount of spin can change that. The United States needs to repudiate him today.

Not really, nicko.
For hundreds of years (up until the early-->mid' 20th century..), the difference between low paid and high- paid workers was about 6 times -- e.g. if a base labourer'/navvy'/cleaner got $10,000 a year, then experienced and good tradesmen might get $20k, a manager $30k, a project manager $40k, an top-shelf executive $50k, and the managing directors $60k per annum..
Over the past few decades (especially since the 1980s..) those gaps are growing ever wider, with top managers earning 10 times the entry level jobs; a lot of maintenance and cleaning jobs disappearing - either "outsourced" or even mechanised/automated; while many corporations are paying their CEOs and Chairmans $$millions$$ these days == on average, around 60 times what the entry level workers in their companies are paid !
(And : Note, that this is only talking about base salaries -- if somebody has "equity" in the business, payment/reward there is through dividends and rents -- quite separate issues from their base salaries and "performance bonuses"..).
Even when those companies are performing poorly, even going backwards..

Unemployment is down, but so are wages. Folks have to work 2 - 3 jobs to make due. At the same time inflation is setting in, exacerbated by Trumps trade wars.

A new Economic Policy Institute report finds that, no matter where they live in the United States, minimum wage workers earn far less than they need to make ends meet. (Tweet This)
Compiling data from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Federal Highway Administration, the Bureau of Labor Statistics and several other sources, the nonpartisan think tank found that the average cost of living in the U.S., excluding discretionary spending, is more than $65,000 a year for a family with two adults and two children. That's roughly $50,000 more than what a minimum-wage worker earns. The EPI also looked at the cost of living for single adults and found similar disparities.
And the gap is even wider in some high-cost cities. A household with two adults and two children in Washington, D.C., for example, would need to budget more than $106,000 a year to make ends meet, researchers found. That makes it the most expensive area in the country for a family that size, without taking into account discretionary spending.
The new data, which supports findings by other groups such as the National Low Income Housing Coalition and Pew Research Center, comes amid increased efforts to increase the minimum wage for workers across the country.

One of the more unfortunate aspects of this situation is that there is enough money floating around throughout "First World"/Developed economies to support the concept of a genuine minimum wage/"living wage" system, based on using the taxation system to guarantee a minimum level of income for everyone (starting with more realistic and fair aged and disability pensions, and proportional unemployment benefits..), and then building off that baseline to reward people for the work that they actually do (e.g. through wages for work done + production bonuses + extra for quality, craftsmanship, etc.), and still rewarding "entrepreneurship" (profits paid out as dividends (i.e. a fair return on capital invested) and rent on property owned..).
However, the modern day 'Corporatist' models are allowing far too much of the money to end up in the pockets of the financiers, big business operators, and the top 0.1 % of the population, leaving the masses struggling for a few crumbs "trickling down".
And the current pushes for lower tax rates, allied with current record-low interest rates and "one hour a week" employment figures, is moving even more money to the "top end of town" while increasing the gap between the haves and have-nots ever wider..

Re: Trump: the scary women and children.
Unemployment is no longer the problem. Now, it's the under supply of workers. Normally, when a nation is under supplied on the worker front, it invites immigration.
But to Trump, immigration is a racial thing, and an affront to his white supremacy. We could seriously lose the advantage on this economic boom we are experiencing. All because Trump doesn't like the color of the replacement workers.
