Anyone know why didge deleted his account tonight?

Can’t see why. Haven’t had an email as far as I can see.

Why do people sign in as a Guest?

He had a solo meltdown on his Yasmin Swift thread. He was the only poster on it.
He said goodbye because there is too much hate here and he is bored with the site.
Ironic from a guy who hates Corbyn and bored us rigid with a few of his posts.

On his day he is a brilliant poster.

It was inordinate for him, though.  He usually needs an adversary to set him off.  This, he did completely solo.

From the looks of it, he felt the thread he started should have gotten more responses.  It got none at the time I looked at it, which was afterward.  That set him off.

I posted on the actual thread about this. I think he got upset because he knows the girl in question, and so it's personal to him and he thought others didn't care. I don't know what happened in other threads - the usual I suppose?

His art is as an excellent starter of threads, which he does vociferously. This is consistent with his intellectual habit of being a collector. I avoid his articles and you-tubes as it requires too much investment, and I find he hasn’t actually studied them very well himself. I simply don’t comment on those threads.

Most of the time on threads in which I do engage him, I have to drop out because he doesn't follow linear thought very well. He's undisciplined in logic, and as a result he takes off on examples, metaphors and equivalencies, forgetting the original path. I call it going down rabbit-holes.

I know you do I have seen that, and I agree with you.
But on the other hand, like a good conversation topics often veer away from the original subject, sometimes in a totally opposite direction so it adds little, other times it makes you think from a different angle.

Didge starts some brilliant debate, many a time I will see an interesting article and think I will post it, only to find Didge has beat me to it......he certainly puts time and effort into the forum.  
We row a lot....but 99% of the time I love Didge, I wont expand on the other 1%. 

Well, I don't want to malign didge in his absence.  But it is not like conversations that veer away.  Didge stays on general topic, but he takes the examples, metaphors and equivalencies in the opposite way they are intended...almost a pugilistic style.

And indeed, when he is in his contrarian mood, he looks among words for ways to deliberately call or cast you in some unsavory way.  That's when I walk away, knowing that communication is fruitless.

Didge often argues for arguement's sake. Usually without foundation or justification.
The thread he started, and was the sole contributor seemed to kill him, there was nobody to agree or disagree with his view.
Hence he was unable to take his traditional course of starting an argument.
When he does return, as he surely will, he needs to temper his need for forum combat.
It isn't always the only course to take, and he will be a better and more agreeable poster for being more moderate and conciliatory.

As usual people get it wrong. I could care less about attention for me. Its was simple to raise awareness. and it seems the only way to do that in regards to the thread about my friend. Was to delete my account. I am appalled that people yet again wanted to talk bout me and not her. With the fact she is going to need both a heart and lung transplant. Where again the article I posted is actually recent and not from before.

They only posted this the other day, in order to help Yasmin. Who has decided through facebook, to make people aware of her condition. So its nothing to do with the original article about when she was parking

This is what saddens me, and why I did delete my account. That is not worthy enough for people to talk about, when this is real people and not the bullshit arguments that I see here daily. Instead we have as usual to listen to utter snobs like Quill, who seems to think he is the only person to say how debate should be. What a twat. So from now on and how he thinks I cannot debate. I shall have him on ignore untill further notice, untill he learns the error of his ways. Which will bother him and certainly not me. The man is a hateful idiot at best anyway, who is driving people in droves to the right. That is how clueless he is.

So, I only deleted my account for one simple reason. To get people to look at the thread, which to me is important. About my friend. Hence yes its attention seeking for her, but not me. I could not give a flying fuck about me
