What do you bring to forums?
Something or nothing?
What kind of poster do you think you are....because we all fall into categories.
Interesting, interested, helpful, a watcher, a leader, a liar, argumentative, easily influenced, set in solid beliefs?
So many different times of posters.
I wonder if we see ourselves as others see us...I doubt it somehow.

You are interesting. I bet I'm not the only one who skims through some peoples posts and gives others their full attention, your posts fall into the latter category.

I would never kick a dog or punch someone. I used to fight and was a thug once, not any more
Thank you though

I was just being flippant, I think a lot of people let off steam on forums, it's a sort of therapy if you look at it like that.
I tend to let off steam more in real life (usually the OH is the recipient) On forums, believe it or not I am more the less the same as I am in real life.....I like to gab and I will usually respond if someone asks me a question.

I bring a centre left balance to the centre right dominance here. It remains out of kilter, however, as there are no far left commies to counterbalance the far/alt right on here.

I bring out the worst and best in people, yet only want to see the best out of people. I have no hate for anyone here. I truly want the best for people.
I am my own worst enemy when debating. My passions run wild with me and how I should learn to stop when its clear i am pushing people beyond ther comfort zone.
For that I apologize to those I offend and have ever hurt. I just sometimes need a kick up the bum.

I like to think that I bring a wee bit of wisdom based the experiences of a very long and hugely interesting and eventful life, and perhaps a touch of my own brand of whimsical humour that hopefully gives some of you occasion to smile sometimes.
Oh, and I hope that apart from the occasional (and usually intentional) breach, I still manage to attain the standards of literacy that served me so well in my past professional life and that pay adequate tribute to the beautiful English language.

You do all of the above imo....another poster I like to read.
When you get to a certain age you can relate to a lot of what people are talking about, you may have experienced it yourself, if not you most likely know others who have....it's good to share your own experiences with others when you can.

There is no centre right dominance here.
You, me, veya, Ben, wolfie, quill, sassy, lurker and in lot of areas Lord Foul, are all left leaning. Most the rest are pretty centre, from my pov. Only a few, like tommy, sit solidly on the right

Didge alone is enough to tip the balance, with all his endless c&p'ing of anti-Labour, anti-socialist/pro-corporatist and Zionist propaganda articles...
Then factor in the xenophobic and racially-tinted diatribes from Tommy and a couple of the Hen's club members -- and the flow is easily conservative/"right wing" biased..
If you, Eilzel -- and Lurker and sassy, and a couple of moderates like Cass and Sexy Mama -- were on here more often, then that could drag the balance back to a 'middle ground'.

To be fair to didge, while his economics seem to be pretty centre-right, his social views are very much what I'd call liberal. He just hates the Labour Party, which in itself does not make one a RWer. I disliked Labour until Corbyn, I'm still not 100% sure about him, but I'd definitely say my views both economically and socially are leftist.
As for what you call 'the hen's club', I have never seen much from them to suggest they are left or right. Which is why I see most here as broadly centre. Of course, if someone looks from an extreme Left or Right position, they might see everyone who disagrees as the polar opposite
I'd like to post more, but most threads don't interest me, or retread old ground; plus I am massively busy these days with work and other things. So I post on threads I want to
Ben, you, veya, quill; easily make up for the tommies and raggas tbf
The rest are different shades of centre.
Oh, and then there's Lord Ed, the gentlemanly RWer who would have a good shot of making me think the Right was alright if not for the most RW posters in the forumsphere he's great. We need more RWers like him!

No I do not hate the Labour party. I hate Anti-Semitism, racism, Homophobia etc. Which since Corbyn has come to power, a growing problem of Anti-Semitism has arisen. Which is no surprise based on Corbyns track record of pallying up to extremists and Anti-semites
Labour has had the Far Left in this country join as members, that now outnumber the moderates as party members and are fixing the deck of cards on how the party is run.
I would certainly vote for Labour on a moderate leader. Corbyn, would be a disaster for this country
So you are complete wrong on that Eilzel

No I do not hate the Labour party. I hate Anti-Semitism, racism, Homophobia etc. Which since Corbyn has come to power, a growing problem of Anti-Semitism has arisen. Which is no surprise based on Corbyns track record of pallying up to extremists and Anti-semites
Labour has had the Far Left in this country join as members, that now outnumber the moderates as party members and are fixing the deck of cards on how the party is run.
I would certainly vote for Labour on a moderate leader. Corbyn, would be a disaster for this country
So you are complete wrong on that Eilzel

Re: What do you bring to forums?
I will add Eilzel
Seriously Labour need to get rid of not only Corbyn, but John McDonnell and Dianne Abbot. I mean the later is not competant to run even a circus.
When labour gain back control from the Far left, that have taken control. I would happilly vote for labour and see Chuka Umunna. As potentially a great leader.
I mean seriously mate, how does Labour continue to put up with Dianne Abbot and Corbyn? The only reason, is now the Labour membership has a majority of Far left extremists. Who are making constant threats to any Labour MP that disagrees with Corbyn. For one to have even threats of rape against his daughter and wife, shows how bad this problem has become

Re: What do you bring to forums?
I will add yet one more point Eilzel and what you do not realise
These Far leftists may share some economical politicals views with you, which again are completely flawed to me. But these very same people hate the west and everything it stands for. They are Pro Putin, Iran, Hezbollah etc. They hated the US even under Obama. They stand for a view to hate their own nation state and every western nation state. They basically want anarchy, backing the worst nations states today, in Russia and Iran. I mean people rightly condemn Trump for claims to complicity with the Russians, but make a U-turn with Corbyn, when its obvious he is a mouth peice for Putin. Where no doubt Putins Russia, will try and infleunce the next Uk election in favour of Corbyn
I mean all you have to do is read the countless views of these people. I have watched videos of the anti-trump rally, and many of the protestors were anti American, more than actually Anti-Trump. To them it does not matter who is in charge, but see the US and Jews again as being behind the evils of the world through capitalism.
These people are in the main hateful extremists. Do not get me wrong, there was also many there to protest Trump, of which I support, but a hard core Far left is behind all the problems that Labour now face. I mean Corbyn is known for his hateful views towards the west and been party to making friends with countless terrorrists. That is very much worrying, as he sees them not as terrorists but claims they are dissidents. Even though he knows they use violence and murder. He wants to ignore they are terrorists. I wll happily condemn the Israeli governement on many issues, but this goes beyond that and is constantly crossing the lines of antisemitism, as they are held to a higher standard.
I mean just look at the Rhetoric that comes from the Far left courner. They do not bat an eyelid, when countless Arabs/Muslim butcher each other. Yet when Israel defends itself from attacks, they shreik like harpies over the sad reality that some civillians die in conflicts with Palestine. Claiming war crimes. When many have no idea what a war crime is and proportinality in war. They use body counts, showing they have no concept of proportinality in conflict. Ignoring that Israel does more than any nation to try to lessen the loss of civiilian lives. Hamas and Hezbollah do not and commit countless war crimes. There is no comparerrison here on ethics. One side does not want Jews to exist and have a home. The Jews continually seek peace and a two state solution. It means they place a very racist view over Israeli Jews and even worse Zionism. Which is simple a belief in a Jewish home, in the ancestral lands of the Jews. That to them is more hateful, than any single Arab state created or hundreds of thousands of Muslims murdered by extremist Muslims
Its such a fucked up mentality, and very much racist. Because they are holding Jews to a standard, they never do, towards Arabs. Even though the extrmist Arabs in many countries are butchering their own people
So you may well like the econcomic and social views of Corbyn, but you clearly are turning a blind eye, to his extremist views.

Re: What do you bring to forums?
I'm not sure what I bring. I try to be fair, post my opinion, laugh, and see names on the forum as people.
I'm aware I'm not liked by some, but tbh I don't care, its their problem not mine.
