Mum Of Girl, 2, Who Died After Car Rolled Into River 'To Be Questioned By Police'
Police are reportedly set to the speak to the mum of a two-year-old girl who died after the car she was in rolled into a river in West Wales.
Little Kiara Moore tragically died when the car she was in rolled down a riverside slipway, while her mum Kim Rowlands had popped out of the vehicle to speak to her partner.
According to the Mirror, officers who are investigating the tragic incident have said they could question mum Kim, 25, over whether she put the little girl 'at risk' by leaving her in the car.
The paper reports that police are due to speak to Kim and her boyfriend, Kiara's dad, Jet Moore.
Officers are reported to be investigating whether the electric 'button brake' on the Mini was activated before the car rolled down and slipped in the River Teifi, Cardigan.
When asked by the Mail Online, police didn't rule out the possibility of charges over the toddler's death.
A Dyfed Powys Police spokesman said: "Enquiries are continuing and we are due to carry out interviews. We are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death."
He added: "Examination of the vehicle will form part of these enquiries."
It's not illegal to leave a child unattended, but it can be an offence if leaving them alone is 'likely to lead to injury or suffering'.
The devastated mum posted a heartbreaking post on Facebook, in which she wrote: "Sadly yesterday my beautiful baby girl passed away! Due to my own stupidity, I will have to live with the guilt for the rest of my life!
"Mummy loves you baby girl and I'm so sorry!"

This is horrific. I can't begin think about the cold, terrifying, lonely death that child suffered. What the fuck is a brake button? If that child pressed it, the damned things need to be banned. You think you're going to be OK with toddlers, just leaving them a minute or two, but they're never really safe to leave alone. Not ever.

When you park on a slope you leave the car in gear and apply the handbrake. Apparently the engine was left running "for just a couple of minutes", if engine was running you can't leave it in gear!

I do feel sorry for the mum, but leaving a child in the car isn't right, especially with the engine running on a slope.
That poor child must've been absolutely terrified, I can't bear to think of it.
The mum has to live with losing her child, that's a big cross to bear. I read she.might be prosecuted, but it was an accident, and no punishment will be as bad as she will be living with guilt.

Couldn't agree more Mags. To lose a child must be the worst thing a parent can ever cope with, to know its your own fault...unimaginable.
