Your Childhood Homes Empty Your Childhood Homes

I came across this as a I searched for my old childhood home...it actually has a listing in Wiki.  We lived at Number 6 Colville Gardens.   And my mum and dad were married at All Saints Church at the top of the Road.   I remember it very very well.   Here is a photo  of it now and then when I was a kid living there.   That's me with my pushchair and my mum and two cousins when my mum was about 14.   We lived not far from 10 Rillington Place, made famous by the murderer, Christie. My nan found him hiding in our area one night as she put out the bins...frightened her nearly to death. He was on the run at that time.

Lovely photos HT, your first home looks very grand.

My childhood home was a terraced house in Salford, very like the ones shown on Coronation St years ago.
I lived there with my mum and sister.

The full street and the surrounding area was knocked down in the mid 70,s, it was part of the slum clearance that happened around that time.

Lovely pics HT.

My first home, I was born there, was in Southwark. The old house were pulled down and new ones in their place.
