the Hunter became the Hunted
First topic message reminder :
A suspected poacher was mauled to death and eaten by a pack of lions close to the Kruger National Park in South Africa, police said Monday, adding that little was left of the victim's body.
The remains were found at the weekend in the bush at a private game park near Hoedspruit in the northern province of Limpopo, where animals have been poached in increasing numbers over recent years.
"It seems the victim was poaching in the game park when he was attacked and killed by lions. They ate his body, nearly all of it, and just left his head and some remains," Limpopo police spokesman Moatshe Ngoepe told AFP.
A loaded hunting rifle was found near the body on Saturday morning. Police are trying to establish the victim's identity.
Last year, several lions were found poisoned near a farm in the same province with their heads and paws sawn off.
Lion body parts are used in traditional medicine.
Poachers also often target rhinoceroses in South Africa's game parks to feed a booming demand for rhino horn in China, Vietnam and other Asian countries, where it is believed to have medicinal qualities.

I have to admit I cuss on here far more than I do in real life, in the presence of ladies. I generally don't drop the F bomb except when talking to males on here, but I also know that females are reading my posts and exposed to my shitty language.

I did answer your post earlier in the thread and I asked you a question: what do you do, or what did you do, to ever help animals’ suffering?
Do you still eat meat and wear leather?
If so. Big fat hypocrite.

Re: the Hunter became the Hunted
Another relevant point :
Animals aren't farmed or hunted specifically to produce leather, or offal, or blood and bone, or gelatine, or "catgut", or cows horn, or horse hair or camel hair...
ALL of these are by-products from the processing of animals for meat, or in the case of those animals grown for wool, or milk, or eggs, their older meat is often used for petfood (and for hamburger mince within the USA as well..).
Not wearing leather, or buying manures and blood&bone for the garden, or even wearing wool, in the name of 'Vegan' ideology, will have bugger all effect on livestock farming.
But it will mean more petrochemical-based plastics polluting our environment..

Notice that I didn't list furs and hides among those by-products...
Does anybody farm the likes of mink and ermine over there ? I'm not aware of anybody doing so around here..
Mink is imported into Australia from places like Russia and England; possum fur products from NZ.
Apparently, with cowhides, sheepskin and pigskin, more hides are produced in abattoirs in Oz, Britain, the USA and Canada than are used by local tanneries these days, so that surplus are often being turned into fertiliser or used as landfill..

I think there might be some mink farms up north. Texas is a shitty climate for furs. I imagine Australia isn't any better.

Hahahahah whatever. You all keep telling yourselves how utterly utterly you adore animals whilst you eat them and wear their skins and kiss your doggies on the mouth.
I may come across as unfeeling because I won’t die for a cat or starve for a dog but at least I’m not a hypocrite.

You seem to have forgotten
We are all Animals, we are by nature and evolution Omnivorous Apex Predators (which through further social evolution developed Domestication). So I am only functioning as a human's evolutionary nature intends.
Also who said I wouldn't eat dog?
I wouldn't eat MY dogs, but I'm pretty sure I have been served some in a Combination Laksa before
Same as I wouldn't eat MY Friends and Family but If shit hit the fan anyone else is fair game, ask the Papuans nothing wrong with a bit of 'long pig'
SO No Hypocrisy Just acceptance of the Natural Circle of Life, haven't you watched the Lion King
Using Your logic, do you hate fungus or love it?
IF you love apple trees does that mean you can't eat apples?

Come on now, eddie...
You have been peddling Vegan propaganda nonsense on here for a good while now, apparently never bothering to do your homework to check their veracity but only taking it as a given..
Just like those lies you posted about dairy farming last week -- despite being disproven over and over, you just keep on repeating their lies.

You know fuck all about farming and methods in England. So I’ll not even bother talking to you about it. You keep spouting your lies though and reading your propaganda.
And we shall see who is right. Cos time will tell.

No, the only thing that’s there is you ranting on like a demented old fool and not answering questions and then posting sleep emoticons.
I suggest you go and eat a big fat bacon sandwich and shake your stick at people who are mean to pigs.

Re: the Hunter became the Hunted
I don't know why people argue about this stuff really. I don't eat meat, but I eat fish. I don't usually wear leather, and I don't like cosmetics containing animal or which has been tested on animals. However, this is what I'm comfortable with - it's just a personal choice.
Others might eat meat and wear leather, but object to hunting. Some might not eat meat but think that hunting is OK.

Your the one who obviously knows nothing about farming, eddie -- anywhere..
I know more about agriculture than you ever possibly could -- your blatant ignorance speaks volumes.. Indeed, I have forgotten more about farming than you will ever know.
With regards to farming practices in Britain, I will listen to those English folk who actually know what they're talking about in this regard -- both with the likes of nicko, Victor and Fred on this forum; and English expats living out here, as well as those Hawkesbury lecturers who have "walked the walk"..
I went to Ag college (Uni' Western Sydney..); you clearly didn't..
I have worked on dairy farms; you obviously haven't -- as everybody here can plainly see.
You have the hide to repeatedly call me a "liar" -- but not once have you actually produced these "lies" that I'm supposedly guilty of..
I reckon most people on here can see who the real liar is on this thread -- and that's not me, nor nicko, nor veya...

I know a pescatarian horse owner that has given up on domestic meat.
But she will shoot and consume a deer.
