Happy New Year. Thankfully I live in the near Southside and can walk to several bars and breweries.

Ben and I are experiencing a winter ice storm that is shutting down some of the roads.

Not together, in a gay kinda way. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Wink

Its yet another New Year. Just one of 365 new days each year.

If you constantly were ruled and lived by them. Then you have no hope of being free.

Having said that. I hope, that for once the left and right in the west. Would end up being united and not splintered. Standing united for the people.

Everyday, is a new day to look forward too.

Hey, thanks so much! It's all of y'all who make this place what it is. If I'm going to take any credit, it's just that I've always felt like a good forum has people from a lot of different walks of life.

Its true that different elements make a good forum, but the fact is if you didn't own it and run it so well, and the mods/admin didn't give up time and energy to keep it good, it wouldn't exist. x

There is no doubt that Christmas is a very tiring time (for women anyway) Laughing

its all worth it though, the tiredness doesn't last but the memories do. x

I got completely knackered watching my Wife preparing the Xmas Dinner, making Trifles and salads etc, then laying out Sandwiches, Mince Pies, Pigs in Blankets and opening tins of Pears, peaches for when all the kids come for Tea. I went for a lie down at the finish !

Never mind Nicko, when she takes all the decorations down and cleans the house from top to bottom, defrosts and restacks the fridge/freezer, and stacks it up again with fresh food, you will be able to relax again in comfort. Cool

Happy to say my Daughter and Partner came round and did all that for her, bit tiring watching all that though. I offered to do the washing up but my Daughter wouldn't let me, she made me a cup of Tea and told me to sit down ! [lovely Girl]

My OH does the washing up in our house...though I did help over Christmas, I do everything else bar take the rubbish out.

The odd thing about men is whatever mundane task they do, they always have to announce its done, as if they expect a standing ovation.
I have taken the rubbish... I have washed the pots... I have got the car out...etc etc.....SO BLOODY WHAT....I have cleaned the house from top to bottom, changed the beds, had a bath and washed my hair without praise. Rolling Eyes
