Really annoying people.
My HUSBAND.
He wants new suitcases, and they are all too big to go on top of the wardrobe or under the bed....the double garage is filled with that much crap (his) that the car barely fits inside...and he wont even contemplate buying cases that will squash up...they have to be rigid for some reason.
So he went upstairs into my craftroom come spare bedroom, and he has completely overhauled my craft stuff....of which I have lots having accumulated it over many years, and mixed everything up.....I could put my hand on everything...now its just a jumbled mess.
I feel like crying...or killing him...not decided yet.

Haha...just go into his study or reading room, and replace the books, pens, and desks, with sewing machines, a potters wheel, kiln, knitting needles, and baskets of yarn.
Or, more sensibly, develop rules as to what is functional, and what is to be stored. Denote in the place what is storage space, and lay down the law that if it doesn't fit, ya gotta quit!

you should take eddie's advice as before,,,,,chuck him out the window, set fire to him then chop him up with an axe, like you would anything else that doesn;t work properly
for me it's nutters that ride their push bikes at top speed along the pavement,
oh and fuckwits who decide to stand right outside the doors of the train making it impossible for folk to get off. i tend to just fall into them all and barge them out of the way with a sarky sounding ''so sorry'' thrown casually back at them over my shoulder
utter wankers

Re: Really annoying people.
My solution, given that the axe is in the garage which is a complete no go area for me because I swear he sets traps to injure me when I venture in there....seriously. I opened the back door to the garage a while ago and a scythe fell down, its as if he is trying to behead me....and he is English.
Anyway...he is a hoarder, and amongst his hoardings are toys that the grandkids played with which cluttered a room up, including a quite intricate model of a farari which OH bought for himself and pretended they could play with it, but they never did, it was HIS.
That, and a billion pieces of Lego, games and assorted playthings, have been stuffed in a huge box and I have put them outside.
OH protested, but as the grandkids are now 18 and 20.....the only one who is moaning is him.
Job done.

My sister in law - she likes to take over family problems and then she will say ' I have done this all by myself with no help ' and then go off on one .
I've been in her bad books for two years because I wouldn't jump when she told me to - she doesn't like the word 'no'

Your poor hub Syl
I can't stand cyclist who come up the near side when I'm turning, I can't see them and nearly hit them. Also when they get to traffic lights sail through red lights, how they've not got knocked off their bikes more often amazes me.

Re: Really annoying people.
Every morning OH has a walk to the paper shop to buy a paper (paper boys are a thing of the past round here) this morning as he is walking along some dickhead riding a bike on the pavement swoops round a corner and collides with him, he then says nastily..."you f***ing idiot, you nearly knocked me in the road". OH understandably annoyed says, "You're the f***ing idiot, that's where you should have been in the first place".
DH then throws his bike down, squares up to OH and asks him if he wants to make something of it. OH (he is not easily intimidated by scroats) tells him to move away quick and behave himself, DH gets on bike and rides off....on pavement.
He was in his 20's.. OH is a pensioner, still fit, but FGS, why are some people so bloody THICK.

Bloody idiot. Would've served him right if your hub gave him a right hander, but guess who the police would cart off.
Supposing that had been an old infirm person or a kid. I can't stand cyclist, not only do they think they own the road, but now it seems the pavement too.

Cyclists on pavements seem to be the norm now, probably because visible coppers are as rare as hens teeth.

I see so many bad reviews of places where I have been and found them to be great. If the moaner had tried to sort out whatever problem they had at the time it could probably have been resolved.

I used to hun everyone but when a toxic ex-coworker mentioned it about 5 years ago, I slowly stopped. One still slips out every now and again. Not one of the patrons ever complained. They thought it was a cute “British” thing.

actually, so do i a lot irl. it stems from when my kids were young and had various friends over and at parties and stuff i never could remember any sods name so they were all just given some kind of term of endearment. i still do it to this day.
earlier on one of my eldest son's friends dropped by and I let him in. i told him oh, he's upstairs hun, go on up''. as he ascended the stairs i heard my eldest screech out ''ooooh, Harry, my mum just called you hun,,,you're well in there mate''
lolol i get that crap all the time from both of them

Lol gel, it helps yes when I too forget kids names, or people's now lol. It's become a way of life I say it without thinking.
I rarely say it on forums now, as I didn't realise how much I said hun until it was pointed out to me.

i dont say it on forums at all but i dont need to because the person's name is there for me to see, but when i'm talking to my kids mates et all i cant tell t'other from which most of the time, and they all give each other nick names and stuff so i'm totally lost with that, but i'm also a bit of a bugger for remembering names of those i 'know' but not well enough to call friends. my mind goes blank. i'm also really bad with faces, of those said category.
one time me and my daughter were walking down the road and some woman walked past us and smiled at us and said ''oh hello'', we did the same thing,,,,,there was some kind of recognition there but when we had walked on we both looked at each other blankly and said ''who was that? we know her dont we? but where from?'' 2 days later we went into the little local centre and there she was in the library section - we would see her once a week at least but because she was out on the highway and not behind her desk i didn't recognise her
another time years ago me and a neighbour were out shopping and this bloke was in the queue with us and said hello and started chatting. i must have looked blank cos my neighbour suddenly shouted at me ''FFS geli it's our postman, he delivers our letters every day and lives two doors down,,,,remember??'' i felt like such a wanker but he didn't have his bike and uniform and post sack so i was lost, despite the fact that i'd seen him nigh on 3 - 4 times a week for the last year or so. my daughter seems to have inherited the same thing though she's not as bad as me

I tend to reserve special words and names for special people to be honest. I don't say "I love you" to just anyone either.

Why not? People who use those words don't mean any harm, they are just speaking according to their local dialects, of which there are so many in the UK.
I say 'luv' a lot. In forums I say 'pet' to people I really like. I have the unfortunate habit of saying 'kid.' too.

Aye mags!
Re topic ... What I REALLY dislike is when I go up to a shop assistant or customer services staff in a shop or bank with an enquiry and some apathetic types don't actually greet you, they just angle their head sharply to one side as a sign that they want you to start speaking.
I get VERY sarky and pointedly say 'good morning' and wait for a reply. So the encounter starts on an awkward footing. Don't care!

The morning bike rider sounds like a right twat... shouldn't be on the pavement, and if they are and there are any incidents with pedestrians, then it is bike riders fault...!
However... many use pavements these days cos there are too many bad/idiot drivers on the road, and lack of cycle lanes.

He was just an ignorant yob....people like him can cause accidents and they dont hang around ....they ride off. Didnt one actually kill a woman not long ago, and when she lay dying he screamed at her that it was her own fault.
I think if anyone has been a cyclist they would agree that some car drivers dont seem to regard the safety of cyclists as important. I stopped riding my bike a few years ago because it was a nightmare on main roads.
Selfish idiots are selfish idiots whether they are in a car or riding a bike.

No she mentioned it to me and then my supervisor (who never told me to stop) so I was just like whatever bitch. I got another job shortly after that. I’m still personal friends with the director and it hasn’t changed in over 3 years since I left. I’m amazed that I lasted 4 years there. Well no, I loved the patrons and the Work (and I knew u was damn good at it), but the American workplace is very toxic compared to the UK. It’s hard to describe.

Re: Really annoying people.
Local accents and expressions don't define a person now like they used to.
In the UK at one time, when the class system was more obvious and celebrated, the BBC never employed anyone with a regional accent, everyone used to speak like royalty.
Victoria Wood gave an interview once where she said when she first worked for the BBC she was the token northerner, she was looked down on by many because she didn't speak with a plumb in her gob.....how times have changed.
