Mea culpa. I was one of them. And it was because I am fed up to the back teeth of being stalked, abused and insulted by a certain member of this forum because I don't support the bloody British Labour Party.

It has become almost impossible to have a serious debate about any serious subject without it being disrupted by a stream of obscenities and utterly irrelevant videos from one particular member.

I'll deal with "jibes" from anyone - I'm still able to eat people like that for breakfast and I don't take bloody prisoners - but I'm damned if I am going to continue to be personally insulted and simply to turn the other cheek.

If that's not to your liking, Ben, then the remedy is in your hands.

Before you become too effuse with your apologies, SM, I will readily attest to the fact that Catman did not deny that my wife was dying of cancer at the time those posts were made or that I was myself facing a life-threatening operation.

However, he did find the situation sufficiently amusing to post a cartoon of a dinosaur with the caption "they're dying out" or "we're dying out" - I can't remember which.

This was confirmed by another poster earlier on today. Naturally, that post was promptly removed either by Ben or one of the moderators; the thread blocked and Catman's original bile  left intact and unchallenged.

It would be interesting to learn the reasons for this.
