New 'sonic' attack is reported in Cuba with 19 US diplomats now suffering mysterious health problems including deafness and brain injuries
[*]The attack is feared to have occurred in Havana in August
[*]It follows a spate of similar incidents which left diplomats deaf or injured
[*]19 people are now feared to have been affected by the suspected attacks
[*]The State Department says it cannot rule out whether even more occurred

Re: New 'sonic' attack is reported in Cuba with 19 US diplomats now suffering mysterious health problems including deafness and brain injuries
One study has suggested that infrasound may cause feelings of awe or fear in humans. It has also been suggested that since it is not consciously perceived, it may make people feel vaguely that odd or supernatural events are taking place. Engineer Vic Tandy provided such an explanation in his investigations in the 1980s. Tandy, while working in his laboratory, started to feel uneasy and as if a supernatural presence was with him. Later, he could attribute these feelings to a broken metal fan was causing noises of a frequency that triggered them. The noise could not be perceived by the human ear, but Tandy's body reacted to the 19Hz sounds.
A scientist working at Sydney University's Auditory Neuroscience Laboratory reports growing evidence that infrasound may affect some people's nervous system by stimulating the vestibular system, and this has shown in animal models an effect similar to sea sickness.
In 2006 research about the impact of sound emissions from wind turbines on nearby population, perceived infrasound has been associated to effects such as annoyance or fatigue, depending on its intensity, with little evidence supporting physiological effects of infrasound below the human perception threshold.

Is there nothing we humans are not going to sink to in order to destroy each other. I despair, I really do.

I have read about some of this... very interesting HT...!
I'm sure that sounds/vibrations etc all have effects... even those we can't recognisably hear/feel...!
The Hare Krishnas believe this completely...
And you can sometimes see vibrations effects on the surface of a standing liquid... like a bottle of water on a shelf in a supermarket where you may see the top water level layer rippling away to a vibration/sound wave in the reflection of the light etc... but you would never consciously be feeling this same vibration, although you would still be experiencing it in an unknown/unaware physical sense...
Sound = vibration... and vibration = sound...
A big topic HT...!

I actually physically feel an electric storm coming - often hours in advance. It makes my head feel really strange and my whole body feels zingy, like I have too much energy buzzing around in my blood.
I don't use microwaves for that reason too. I don't like the thought of the waves all waving around in my body. Fuck that shit.

I can feel microwaves, particularly when I bend down next to the microwabe oven when it's running. My dishwasher is beneath the counter-top where my microwave is situated, and when I bend over to put a dish in the washer I can feel it running.

Plus of course, you have Trump listening in through your microwave....

Interesting...I wonder if I could negotiate his doing the dishes, while he's at it?
