‘You will have to shovel our bodies into the oven, too’: Father of Charlottesville neo-Nazi disowns him Empty ‘You will have to shovel our bodies into the oven, too’: Father of Charlottesville neo-Nazi disowns him

Post by Guest Mon Aug 14, 2017 9:54 pm

One father of a marcher in Charlottesville, Virginia over the weekend is denouncing his own son after the young man was seen on national news spouting hate.

In a letter to Fargo, North Dakota’s Inforum, father Pearce Tefft wrote that his family wasn’t sure where his son Peter picked up his racist beliefs.

“I, along with all of his siblings and his entire family, wish to loudly repudiate my son’s vile, hateful, and racist rhetoric and actions,” Tefft wrote, clarifying that he certainly didn’t learn such values at home.

“I have shared my home and hearth with friends and acquaintances of every race, gender, and creed. I have taught all of my children that all men and women are created equal. That we must love each other all the same,” he continued. However, he acknowledged, that Peter chose another path.

The family has remained largely silent, but Tefft said these recent events pushed them over the edge. Remaining silent, he believed, would be a mistake.

It was the silence of good people that allowed the Nazis to flourish the first time around, and it is the silence of good people that is allowing them to flourish now,” he wrote.

He went on to say that his son is no longer welcome in their home or at family gatherings until he renounces the hate. The beliefs of the younger Tefft has also brought hate targeted at his relatives, who are being considered guilty by association.

His father recalled a time when his son joked, “The thing about us fascists is, it’s not that we don’t believe in freedom of speech. You can say whatever you want. We’ll just throw you in an oven,” Tefft recalled.

“Peter, you will have to shovel our bodies into the oven, too. Please son, renounce the hate, accept and love all,” the father closed.

Peter’s nephew also denounced him, according to local news outlet WDAY 6.

“In brief, we reject him wholly – both him personally as a vile person who has HIMSELF made violent threats against our family, and also his hideous ideology, which we abhor,” his nephew Jacob Scott said. “We are all bleeding-heart liberals who believe in the fundamental equality of all human beings.”

“Peter is a maniac, who has turned away from all of us and gone down some insane internet rabbit-hole, and turned into a crazy nazi. He scares us all, we don’t feel safe around him, and we don’t know how he came to be this way. My grandfather feels especially grieved, as though he has failed as a father.”

The younger Tefft posted a photo of himself prior to the rally at the base of the statue in Charlottesville.

It does make you wonder why so many people, including a few here , and a lot more on a rabid flopping place find it so difficult  to actually and unequivocally  condemb the far right violence.
Because they condone it, perhaps?

Who has not condemned it Andy?

I have always stood against Nazism and all its evil.

What happened was nothing short of the worst terrorism, of which I pointed out it was wrong to charge him with second degree murder, when it was terrorism and first degree murder.  You see this seems more important to you. Looking to cast people than standing united with the American people against this form of hatred.

Who said he committed a crime?

I see no arrest warrant for him, do you?

He is being rightly condemned for his hateful beliefs.

Surely you would join others in doing so Tommy?

All the violence was instigated by the thugs who thought they had the right to turn up mob handed and attack others, who were legally gathered together in an organised and peaceful group that had the full permission of the authorities and where they were exercising their fundamental rights and freedoms to assemble and voice their thoughts/opinions as is their constitutional and democratic right to do so!!!

If you think it is ok to start going round beating people up cos they have a different opinion to you, and you dont approve of their opinion... then that makes you the thug/bully, and the self appointed tin pot dictator and hypocrite etc... so then whats wrong when others come and beat you up cos they dont like your views about something else...!?

Is that ok too...?

Or is it only ok when your views are being beaten into others...?

Because you have some god given right to decide/dictate to everyone else...?

And violently oppress all who dare to hold a different opinion...!?

And you wonder how fascist dictatorships start...!!!???

Nobody said they are not free to have views.

So you could not condemn his views

No surprise there then

Everybody has a right to be critical of hateful beliefs and condemn people.

I mean are you not critical of Islam and condemn Islamic extremists?

Those who share bad beliefs within Islam

Showing you are promoting a poor double standard

So I guess as you cannot condemn you share the same beliefs

So now Tommy is apologist for terrorism and murder.

So according to Tommy, the white supremacist who drove his car into many peaceful counter protesters is justified based off an absurd belief Tommy holds, that they some how must have asked for this holding placards and protesting and this constitutes starting starting violence against this terrorist?

Also Tommy excuses any violence by all white supremacists, if many not started on by some counter protesters. Meaning they are justified to commit violence through a free through all. Based on the view some counter protesters started some violence? Really, what a load of utter apologist bullshit to violence. Not only that I am yet to see the evidence that any counter protesters started any violence and that they they simple counter protester the White Supremacists. Clearly Tommy must agree to peaceful counter protesters, as they are exercising their rights also to protest, many who actually lived in the town themselves. Who had this hate group descend onto their town.

I have never heard such apologist bullshit in all my life, as any violence no matter from what side is wrong, but Tommy as per usual tries to defend any by the white supremacists.

Likening Tom to a pea brained twat is a bit unkind to one of my favourite green vegetables.
I had minted mushy peas with scampi, chips and tartare sauce last night . Divine.

A legal and lawful and authority approved rally was taking place...

Hostile violent thugs turned up and started trouble...

So who is really to blame here...!?

A completely skewed view point on this.

Two protests were organized, which had violent thugs within each group, more so the white supremacists, being as one drove his car into people.

Somebody needs to correct the lies: They were the Nazis and white supremacists that brought the guns.  What does one need a gun for at a peaceful demonstration, if not violence?

The Nezis and white supremacists were the violent thugs who "turned up" to start trouble.

Protesters and counterprotesters gathered at Emancipation Park in anticipation of the rally. White nationalist protesters chanted Nazi-era slogans,[2] including "Blood and Soil".[57] They shouted "You will not replace us" and "Jews will not replace us."[2]Some waved Confederate flags, and others held posters targeting Jews that read "the Goyim know", using the Yiddish word for non-Jews, as well as "the Jewish media is going down".[3] Protesters also shouted racial slurs and "Jew" when Charlottesville mayor Michael Signer was mentioned, and they waved Nazi flags and signs claiming, among other things, that "Jews are Satan's children".[58] A number of them wore Donald Trump's red "Make America Great Again" campaign hats.[3]

Counterprotests in opposition to the white nationalists began with an interfaith, interracial group of clergy who linked arms, prayed, and sang songs of peace. Later in the day, militant groups chanted such slogans as "Kill All Nazis."[59]

Rolling Stone and Moyers & Company reported that Antifa protestors at the Rally "carried sticks and clubs."[60][61] Antifa participants chanted "punch a Nazi in the mouth." [62]

Beginning in the morning, ahead of the rally's official noon start time,[63] "protesters and counterprotesters faced off, kicking, punching, hurling water bottles at and deploying chemical sprays against one another."[64][65] An estimated 500 protesters and more than a thousand counterprotesters were on the site.[64] At least 19 people were injured in "street brawls" and other violence at the rally.[3]

No dodge... you cannot justify hostile 'rent a mobs' being allowed to turn up at legal and lawful and authority approved rally's with intent to try to violently attack those there in the first place, and try to prevent them exercising their fundamental rights and freedoms to be staging their perfectly legal gathering!!!

The law dictates what they can and cant do... not a bunch of jumped up thugs!!!

The original rally group were within the law... the violent thugs who turned up were an affront to the rights and freedoms of everybody!!!

Both were legal protests, so again your argument does not hold any water.

Where within both camps, there were multiple groups that turned up that day.

Many of the counter protesters were not their for any violence. Such groups like Antifa were, but so were many of the White supremacist groups

So your claim within the law, is sheer and utter unadulterated nonsense, as both groups had received permits to protest

So your claim the nazi's were innocent sums up yet again what an apologist you are to Nazi's themselves, when I conden all those who started and committed violence, including groups like Antifa.

It's not about legality, tommy.  The real question is, what was the purpose of Nazis and white supremacists in coming there?

Guns in open carry are legal, murder is not.  The Nazis and white supremacists came to murder, and they succeeded.

Subjective drivel and the later is even more comical

So your only defense is based on hindsight, where as seen violence was committed by both sides.

I am sure the authorities did not suspect any violence

The fact is two permits were given

This is a fact

So answer me Tommy, if people are going to peacefully protest, why did some on both sides come instead armed for violence? People were wearing body Armour, helmets, shields, carrying clubs and bats.

No... they were there for a perfectly legal and lawful rally, to voice their opinion and their opposition to the Gen Lee statues proposed removal... and peacefully intended...

Which it would have been had a group of violent thugs not turned up (been allowed to turn up) and start attacking them...!!!

Guns are legal... and I didnt read about any shootings... so just a red herring Quill...!

Which it would have been had a group of violent thugs not turned up (been allowed to turn up) and start attacking them...!!!

Guns are legal... and I didnt read about any shootings... so just a red herring Quill...!

So if it was peacefully interned, how did some die and end up in hospital after one o them drove his car into peaceful protesters Tommy?

Why did many come armed with shields and bats, with body Armour and helmets?

How is that peaceful intent?

Really...!?

Surely the authorities wouldnt be authorising a hostile mob to turn up at what was an already planned lawful and peacefully intended rally...!?

With such a high risk of disorder breaking out and risk to public safety...!!!??

Subjective drivel and the later is even more comical

So your only defense is based on hindsight, where as seen violence was committed by both sides.

I am sure the authorities did not suspect any violence

The fact is two permits were given

This is a fact

So answer me Tommy, if people are going to peacefully protest, why did some on both sides come instead armed for violence? People were wearing body Armour, helmets, shields, carrying clubs and bats.

Maybe they felt the need to protect themselves, as it seems the authorities were not only not going to protect them, but were active in allowing a hostile bunch of thugs to turn up and try to lynch them!!!

Gibberish again, as many of the white supremacists turned up armed for violence.

Which shows they had intent.

To say they cannot contain themselves and that they must turn to violence, because of a hostile crowd, is about as dumb as it gets.

4 people were arrested.

Defending yourself does not get you arrested, violence does

Already posted this link, which has links to articles

Kessler, the organizer of the "Unite the Right" rally, applied for a permit from the City of Charlottesville to hold the event at Emancipation Park. The week before the event, the Charlottesville government—including Mayor Michael Signer, city council, City Manager Maurice Jones, and Police Chief Al Thomas— said they would approve the permit only if the event was moved to the larger McIntire Park.[14][48] The city's leaders cited safety concerns and logistical issues associated with holding the event at Emancipation Park, adjacent to the densely populated Downtown Mall.[48] Kessler refused to agree to relocate the rally, and the City relocated the rally anyway, a decision praised by the Downtown Business Association of Charlottesville.[48]
Kessler, supported by the Rutherford Institute and the ACLU, sued the City of Charlottesville and Jones on First Amendment grounds in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia. On the evening of August 11, the night before the rally, Judge Glen E. Conrad granted an emergency injunction declaring that the Unite the Right rally could go forward.[49] Conrad granted the injunction for the rally due to several factors: that Emancipation Park was the location for the statue of Robert E. Lee that was planned to be taken down and that the rally was partially for, that resources would be needed at both parks for both the rally and the counterprotestors, and that the move to McIntire Park was due to the viewpoints of the organizer and not the safety of the public.[50][51] The court's decision was praised by the ACLU.[52]Mayor Signer issued a statement saying: "While the City is disappointed by tonight's ruling, we will abide by the judge's decision. ... Chief Thomas, his team and the hundreds of law enforcement officials in our City will now turn their full attention to protecting the Downtown area during tomorrow's events."[49]

Counterprotesters ultimately obtained permits to gather at McGuffey Park and Justice Park.[14][53]

August 11

Tensions increased on the evening of Friday, August 11, when a group of white nationalists—variously numbered at dozens[54] or around 100[55]—marched through the University of Virginia's campus while chanting Nazi and white supremacist slogans, including[46] "White lives matter"; "you will not replace us"; and "Jews will not replace us"[2] The phrase "you will not replace us" has been reported by the Anti-Defamation League to "reflect the white supremacist world view that... the white race is doomed to extinction by an alleged 'rising tide of color' purportedly controlled and manipulated by Jews".[28] The Nazi slogan "Blood and Soil" was also used.[3][54][46][55] The group was primarily composed of white men,[55] many wielding tiki torches.[46][55][56] The white nationalists marched from Nameless Field to The Lawn.[56]

At the Rotunda,[56] the group encountered counterprotesters next to a statue of university founder Thomas Jefferson.[3][46][56] The white nationalists encircled the smaller group of counterprotesters at the base of the statue, and a brawl ensued.[56][55] Several "members of both sides were reportedly hit with pepper spray, and several people were treated at the scene for minor injuries".[54] The white nationalists "began swinging and throwing their lit tiki torches" amid the chaos.[56]

Following the outbreak of violence, police declared the assembly to be unlawful and brought an end to the gathering. The Cavalier Daily reported, "While waiting for rides at Nameless Field after the march, several of the 'alt-right' protesters hurled anti-Semitic, homophobic and misogynistic slurs at several reporters and community members asking them questions. One man asking questions was thrown to the ground and surrounded by marchers after a brief physical altercation."[56] Mayor Michael Signer condemned the gathering, writing the following: "When I think of candlelight, I want to think of prayer vigils. Today, in 2017, we are instead seeing a cowardly parade of hatred, bigotry, racism, and intolerance march."[46]

In the evening, clergy led an ecumenical Christian and interfaith prayer service at St. Paul's Memorial Church on University Avenue in opposition to the Unite the Right rally.[57][58][59]

Eyewitness footage of scuffles during event.

Protesters and counterprotesters gathered at Emancipation Park in anticipation of the rally. White nationalist protesters chanted Nazi-era slogans,[2] including "Blood and Soil".[60] They shouted "You will not replace us" and "Jews will not replace us."[2]Some waved Confederate flags, and others held posters targeting Jews that read "the Goyim know", using the Yiddish word for non-Jews, as well as "the Jewish media is going down".[3] Protesters also shouted racial slurs and "Jew" when Charlottesville mayor Michael Signer was mentioned, and they waved Nazi flags and signs claiming, among other things, that "Jews are Satan's children".[61] Dozens wore Donald Trump's red "Make America Great Again" campaign hats.[3]

Counterprotests in opposition to the white nationalists began with an interfaith, interracial group of clergy who linked arms, prayed, and sang songs of peace. Later in the day, militant groups chanted such slogans as "Kill All Nazis."[62]

Rolling Stone and Moyers & Company reported that Antifa protestors at the Rally "carried sticks and clubs."[63][64] Antifa participants chanted "punch a Nazi in the mouth."[65]

Beginning in the morning, ahead of the rally's official noon start time,[66] "protesters and counterprotesters faced off, kicking, punching, hurling water bottles at and deploying chemical sprays against one another."[67][68] An estimated 500 protesters and more than a thousand counterprotesters were on the site.[67] At least 19 people were injured in "street brawls" and other violence at the rally.[3]

At 11:00 am, the City of Charlottesville declared a state of emergency, citing an "imminent threat of civil disturbance, unrest, potential injury to persons, and destruction of public and personal property". One hour later, Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe declared a state of emergency, stating: "It is now clear that public safety cannot be safeguarded without additional powers, and that the mostly-out-of-state protesters have come to Virginia to endanger our citizens and property. I am disgusted by the hatred, bigotry and violence these protesters have brought to our state."[2]
At about 11:40 a.m., shortly before the rally was scheduled to begin, Virginia State Police declared the gathering an unlawful assembly via megaphones,[66] and riot police cleared the scene.[69] Following this, "a hard core of about 100 far-right protesters" moved to McIntire Park about 2 miles (3 km) away, where they gathered to hear speakers who had been scheduled for the "Unite the Right" event.[69][70]

Can you not read?

It even states exactly where

Doh

This is now dull, as you have been shown evidence to refute your poor apologist defense of white supremacists who you gave everyone a load of crap, they had a peaceful intent.

That was bullshit

I certainly do not deny some groups like counter groups like Antifa also did not have a peaceful intent, but as seen the violence started with the Nazi's

You are done here

So who is to blame here...!!!???

A group who were conducting a lawful and legal rally in a place that they had permit to be at...?

Or a group of violent thugs who turned up at this same place, to cause trouble, and who had been refused permit to be there...!!!???

Both had permits, thus were conducting legal protests.

Show me where the counter protesters had been refused any permit?

Just more made up rubbish by you

The Nazi's started the violence.

Within both camps were violent groups

Ask the woman who died, being rammed by the white supremacist who was out to cause trouble Tommy?

You cant?

Why is that?

Because she was murdered by a white supremacist out to commit mass harm, who murderd and severely injured many.

Hence unequivocally, the Nazi's are to blame for the starting and the escalation of violence, especially from the beginning with the vocal antisemitism hate speech. Surrounding protesters and then fighting them clubbing them with torches.

Like I say, you are doing your usual clutching at straws circular argument.

You are done here.

Oh and to further prove Twatti is talking shit

According to permits acquired from the city by University of Virginia professor Walt Heinecke, counter-protesters are expected to gather at the park and at nearby McGuffey Park and Justice Park, recently renamed from Jackson Park.

http://www.dailyprogress.com/news/local/city-says-permit-will-only-be-ok-d-if-rally/article_29f8e566-7baa-11e7-906d-63c9ea503128.html

So as seen they were not denied permits but allowed to gather at 3 parks, the third being the Emancipation Park.

Right no more needed to be said, Tommy as seen makes the worst apologist excuses for white supremacists, ignoring their hate speech and how they started and escalated the violence.

Night everyone

Counterprotesters ultimately obtained permits to gather at McGuffey Park and Justice Park.[14].

Hence why its hilarious pointing out the stupidity of Tommy here.
