"Rodrigo Alves, most famously known as the 'Human Ken Doll', has endured 62 surgical procedures
The Brazilian is set to undergo gastric bypass in September, after being unable to hand any more liposuction procedures
He has just returned from Iran where he spent £50k on his tenth nose job, chin implant, eye lift, scar removal from his abs and porcelain veneers fitted
Last year he appeared on the E! show Botched where doctors told him that further rhinoplasty procedures could salvage his nose"

I think I must have skin like leather...I can get away with putting any old moisturiser on ...at the minute I am using LOreal face oil.....RRP £20...£5 at TJ Hues.
It probably does nothing, but it smells nice and gives a sheen.
I have got some Clarins. But I have to say, the best moisturiser I have used was Jo Malone's. I forget to wear it though, and never wore it when I was younger. I don't think it does much at any deep level.
I have never tried Jo Malone products. I think you are probably right that no moisuriser can work at a deep level.
Like you i have never used foundation...hate it, I feel it clogs up the pores......but ultimately i think good genes and eating, drinking in moderation, plus not smoking, is more benificial for your skin than anything you can rub in.

I use a powder compact foundation as I can't get on with liquid ones. I don't think it clogs pores, and you can use it anywhere.

I tried one once, I think it was 'bare minerals' they were raving about it on QVC so I ordered it...it was OK but I still prefer to go without. I wear eye makeup and lippy...and that's it.
Its personal preference, I love lip liner but I have a friend who says she always feels she looks like a transvestite if she wears it.

Bare minerals are good but it's a bit of hassle. A compact is much easier.
I never wear lipstick - it doesn't stay on and I don't like the feel of it. I don't often wear eye make up these days either.

Its messy, but loose powder usually is....anyway I binned it
I feel bare without eyes and lips done...on holiday daytimes I don't bother because I am in the water a lot...and its quite liberating to be bare faced, but come the evening its all back on again.

Lip liner is a bit dated now, and you need to have full young lips to carry it off in my opinion. Too much make up when you get older isn't flattering.

Its only dated if its obvious.
My lips are thick, so I line them then blot them, then fill in with a lippy that matches...then redo it, and it lasts for hours.
If I don't do that my lips seem to roam all over my face.

That Max Factor stuff that dries your lips out, with another part that makes them all gloopy....I hated that.
I have some expensive Chanel lippys but my favourite right now is from Wilkinsons and it costs £2.30. Its matt but not drying, and it lasts for ages but washes off quickly.

It must be just me then - it doesn't stay on for more than a few minutes, even the ones that are supposed to last for ages. I don't really need lipstick anyway.

If you ever feel like wearing it buy a matt one (that Wilkinsons one is good)....apply, blott, then reapply it a 2nd, even 3rd time blotting in between ...it should stay on and look natural.
I don't like the so called long lasting ones...they either dry your lips out or stain them a horrible colour ime.

I've tried matt ones, and I get the same result. I think lipstick doesn't actually suit me anyway.

Yes. I also have issues with eyeliner - it just makes me look like Bette Davis. Bourjois used to do a liner-effect mascara, which was really good, but they discontinued it.
Oh, and I never use mascara on my bottom lashes.

I don't like liquid eye liners, they are too harsh, I get a very dark brown kohl pencil and line my eyes upper and lower lid, then smudge it. I like smudgy eyes...then mascara....then I colour inside lower eyelid, not sure if its good for the eyes but it looks nice.

Dark brown or grey/black for me....never green or blue, and I don't think those colours look good on more mature women anyway....its like they are stuck in the 60's.
I never wear dark or bright red lipsticks either...or nails, I like subtle.

I've always worn smokey colours like dark browns or greys. I have moss coloured eyes....a kind of very dark green, almost olive green. And my hair used to be very dark brown but I have it lighter now, a sort of light chestnut. I look a bugger in green, blue or violet eye shadow.

Perhaps a kind of smokey green would suit you. I love pale green eyes. I wish I had them. My eyes look dark in normal light but get the light on them and they light up this olive green colour. I tried blue contacts once and looked very weird.

I'm not so sure they were a true violet. Probably a very dark blue that looked indigo.
