Piers Morgan blasts ex-EDL leader Tommy Robinson in furious 20 MINUTE row on GMB as far-right protester blames the Koran for terrorist attacks

Former English Defence League leader Tommy Robinson was slammed by Piers Morgan as a 'bigoted lunatic stirring up hatred' on Good Morning Britain today.

The far-right activist prompted fury after accusing the Finsbury Park Mosque of 'creating terrorists' just an hour after people were mown down nearby as they left evening prayers on Sunday.

Piers later wrote a column for MailOnline claiming that Robinson was a 'notorious Islamophobe' whose 'subliminal message was clear: they deserved it'.

And this morning the pair clashed before Piers told Robinson to 'Show some damn respect for people's religious beliefs' when he produced a copy of the Koran.

Robinson became embroiled in a furious debate with the ITV presenters on the show this morning.
Piers told him: 'You're sounding like a complete lunatic. You're sounding like a bigoted lunatic.'
'You're stirring up hatred. You're being a complete disgrace.'

Robinson said the Koran was a 'violent and cursed book', adding: 'This book is the reason we are in such a mess.'
But Piers hit back: 'We're in this mess because people take Islam, they are terrorists and they abuse the nature of Islam and… perpetrate evil.'

All I can say to that is that there are countries ruled by Islam that still torture and execute people in the name of that book. People tortured, executed, women subjugated. And none of this is due to IS, but from the country's own Government.

I don't know much about Tommy Robinson, he may or may not have shot himself in the foot in the interview had he been allowed to speak....as it was it was just car crash TV.

the answer is yes it is, but so is England, it is a scale not a switch.
England is further along the scale but still a long way to go to be truly civilized tongue

infact voting out of EU is a major leap backwards toward the Uk being part of a global utopia. which is why the op is funny. both literal adherence to the Koran and the existance of EDL-like groups are symptoms of primitive societies

and to make it absolutely impossible for you to understand thorin it is multi-linear scale. no where has reached utopian status yet and several different places are leading the way in different aspects. (NZ is probably best overall)

Australia stands is in good stead since we readily steal aspects of culture superior to ours, we don't get hung up on traditions and hang on to some inferior aspect until it is untenable.

As Muslims in Australia and Britain represent a small fraction of the worlds 1.5 billion or where there is many Muslim majority countries

As to Australians?

Seems they are worse than the UK and clearly half the population back the EDL views and clearly Trumps Muslim ban.

Islam has had centuries to drag itself out of the medieval mire. How anyone can slavishly follow a book that was written hundreds of years ago taking every misogynistic, sadistic thing in it totally to heart, beats me. It actually smacks of idiocy. I think pretty much the same thing about the Bible.

The human capacity to hate will probably never go away, particularly when it finds a champion in religion. It amazes me that people have this need to cluster around a fantasy built on nothing more than hearsay and ignorant fears and beliefs. I don't doubt that some of these writings are based in fact, that people depicted therein lived and breathed but I'm damned if I'm going to hang on their every word, particularly when it involved hurting others or being prejudiced, neither am I going to make excuses for the hive minds that take it seriously like a bunch of teenagers needing to 'belong' and all eat in the same beanery.

The Abrahamic faiths are engineered to control people through fear. That through this fear it allows people to follow some truly diabolical beliefs that persecute and oppress countless people for simple being who they are. Whether that be women, homosexuals etc. They play off something very sinister, absolute morals. Which through these allow for people to believe they can enforce these beliefs. Wrongly thinking it makes them righteous. I mean how can something be righteous that does not give love freely, but that love is conditional? That those who do not blindly follow what this deity wants will suffer eternal punishment. Such a human being that hurt and punished those they professed to love would be classed as domestic violence. To then profess to create children and that if those children do not blindly follow those beliefs, they too will suffer eternal torture. If such parents had children and did this to them, we would class them as child abusers. Yet sadly countless people believe in such a thing of hate. This Abrahamic deity is not something that is all love. As for evil to exist, this deity had to have created evil in the first place and a place of eternal suffering. That to me is not something to worship, but something that should be seen as pure evil.

When you play off peoples fears, it because they believe they have no control over their own lives. Thus they fall easy prey to such controls of religion through fear. Why these religions were contrived by men to control the masses and sadly to this day people are allowing themselves to be controlled by this fear.

In fact those that support the EDL are small in this country, as they never amount to more than a few thousand who protestd. Even at their height, he EDL never had more than a few hundred thousand online.

Most people do not steal other cultures they simple embrace good aspects of cultures.

Regardless of what Piers Morgan thinks of Tommy Robinson, he's supposed to be professional and courteous. Tommy was invited onto the programme, and Piers should have been polite to him as he should to any guest. Shrieking at him like a banshee doesn't come across as at all professional.

Piers' response to that is that he's not responsible for what the Daily Mail says and he merely writes a column for them. However, he's taking money from the Mail, so should he now stop writing that column?
