Apology to Eddie
I am in a pretty good mood tonight.
I wish to apologise to Ed for the things I said on ES. It was forum banter which went too far. I was wrong to post it.
We all say things we later regret, and this is 1 such case.
I am sorry.

Well done Andy for being humble and admitting you were wrong to do so.
Lets hope people can move on

On that, we agree.
I'm pretty pissed off about Nick Clegg losing his seat. I have a real soft spot for him.

My uni daughter is thinking more about working fot the Labour party. She is really hooked.
At least she is becoming more politically active, unlike her some of her mates, who are only interested in becoming more sexually active.
Hate to say it, but some are bloody fit!

Clegg is probably a very nice guy and good company. Shame he sold the students down the river and had some dreadful policies.

He is indeed a conviction politician, as all the best ones are, regardless of party. My favourite was Ann Widdecombe.

Clegg has always been a servant of the EU... never a servant of the British people...!

Everyday has meaning Nems, what the question to ask is why you are so bitter and looking to start here.
So why did you do that?
Are you looking for attention?
Not had any love or affection your way today, you instead decided to act like a brat?
So why are you looking to cause trouble here?
Is it the fact you come straight from the school of sassy?
Maybe you need a course to deradicalize yourself

Re: Apology to Eddie
It is no secret that Thorin and I are not the best of chums. We have had some pretty ugly exchanges. But we can both look beyond that. He defended my apology to Ed, and I thanked him for his support.
The only person provoking on was a reconciliatory thread is Nems.
Why would anyone do that?

You were able to be humble and reached out to Eddie
I respect that
Eddie respected that two, as should other people.
Its better for people to get on, rather than be at each others throats.

Re: Apology to Eddie
Just my take, but I always think if someone makes a public apology it always goes smoother if the only person who responds is the person who is being apologised to.

Yes. Perhaps it should have been done via PM.

Why? My insult was in the public domain. Eddie respinded in public so I apologised in public.

Because other people jump in when it's nothing to do with them.

Re: Apology to Eddie
I think that's a good idea. You can't avoid some negative comments on this kind of thread, and I think things went a bit too far against Miffs really. She only made a short comment.

She made a very poor comment and looked to stir
That should rightly be condemned.
I like nems and do not even get on with Andy, but what she did here was poor rags
Hence why she should be taken to task and why Andy in this instance should be applauded for apologizing
You may disagree, which is your choice.
Nems was in the wrong
Out of respect to Andy and eddie here, i agree that its best now to lock this thread.
Have a good evening everyone
