A tad harsh!
Is Dieudonné satirising African attitudes or white attitudes to Africans? He walks a tightrope. You can laugh at his corrupt, homophobic African or you can agree with him. But when it comes to Jews, Dieudonné steps off the tightrope. I count 23 references to Jews in a supposedly "cleaned up" 80-minute show.
There is nothing remotely funny in any of these references. Even with his gaps and pauses, Dieudonné's world view is as follows: the Jews run the world; they are responsible for the suffering of blacks and poor whites. Why? Because they have created a global monopoly of pity by manipulating the Holocaust.

Re: A tad harsh!
French and German comedy is very different from our Anglo-Celtic humour, and as far as I'm aware you can do and say anything in Britain because the stage is exempt of any rationality.Beekeeper wrote:
THE phrases "French comedy" and "German comedy" have always been perfect examples of OXYMORONS ~ two or more words placed together in a pairing that produces a "contradiction in terms"...
AND to top it all off, there is nothing funny in the least, in either puerile effort at trying to be "funny" or clever ! As perfectly illustrated in the witless boorishness of this French turd in the OP..
This chap is right on the edge, pushing the boundaries which IMO is exactly what an artist should be doing.
But it’s a joke the French government is taking very seriously. In the most recent twist in the tale of Dieudonné’s confrontations with the French state (he has several convictions for making anti-Semitic statements), the interior minister, Manuel Valls, has invoked the Conseil d’État, the highest legal authority in France, to uphold a ban on Dieudonné’s performances. They are deemed a risk to “public order” and “national cohesion”.newstatesman..
