Can we please remember manners and respect
It's all starting again with the abuse among several members.
If we all remember to respect each other and each other's countries and lives, I'm sure we will find that we get respect back.
Let's rise above abuse and silly tit for tat posts that are boring for the rest of the forum to read. It simply just disrupts genuine debate and the flow of conversation.
Draw a line. Move on and embrace the change of answering the post and not the poster.

Re: Can we please remember manners and respect
Agree eddie - no need for abuse we need to chill out and accept each others opinions .
It should be fun life is too short and full of problems to be at each others throats all the time . Seeing my dad at deaths door made me see life in a different way . Treat people with respect and enjoy each day because tomorrow may never be ours .
Love and peace to everyone xx

Still, well done for clipping Vod's post - I guess that makes you feel clever.

Are you joking...its bleeding freezing. It looked like a white wonderland this morning at 3am, the snow was falling thick and fast. ... it did stick, but by the time I got up today it had gone, its still absolutely bitter though with a biting wind.

No doubt you are their hero Nicko.
We were stranded a couple of years ago in Wales (not in snow, but on an isolated road with no phone signal)....2 workmen stopped us and helped us, tried to get us started, then called home to get a local garage number, even stayed with us till a tow truck came, I will never forget them.

Yes, their pedals are small, and whereas they look beautiful on the tree, they make for a pink mess on the ground.
We tend to have winds in March, so they clean up on their own. But winds also mean pollen, so it's a trade-off.

We usually miss all the snow being near the coast - but when it does snow it really lays thick . Last snow we had that laid was 2010 when the whole of the UK came to a halt . We were in Paris went for a short break to Disneyland and when we woke up the place was thick snow . The parks were beautiful as it was Christmas season it made it even more special . We couldn't fly home so we were put up in a 5 star hotel which had just opened , we stayed for another 3 days which was fantastic we just bought more Disney passes and also had a look around Paris so being delayed was lovely as we got an extended break .
Then when we got home we had 3 foot snow drifts couldn't get in our drive lol .

Mine has to have special food called Fibre Response, £19 a bag, lasts around 3 weeks. Of course he loves Dreamies at £1 a bag,one bag a week. He's sick about twice a week, Vet says that's ok so no worries. Would like a new carpet but------------

My old cat started being sick once/twice a week as well as drinking increasing amounts of water, plus pissing a lot more... sorry to say that it turned out the cause was his kidneys were failing...
Most cat/dog foods are full of additives/chemicals etc...

I remember the winter of 2010 VoD.....it was the only time we were snowed in completely and we have lived here 36 years.
I remember all the cars looked like huge ice sculptures.......I bet Paris looked beautiful in the snow.

Thanks Thorin & Syl...
Been gone 2 years now... but was thinking about him earlier before reading this thread funnily enough... was a stray that I took in a few years back... went from not coming anywhere near me and always ready to hiss/scratch/bite, to always coming to me when called and happy to sleep curled up round me with head resting in my hand!

I had a young Female stray, [Mitzie] spent around £400 getting her Spayed plus blood tests and medication for other problems. Would sleep with me every night, beautiful, affectionate Cat. One year later went out one night and never came back ! Had her chipped as well.

Yes it did we have some great pics of us all on the sleigh ride with santa and it was snowing too which added to the magic .
Both of our son's cars were covered in snow too and youngest son injured his knee trying to push his car with his mates it was that bad .

Re: Can we please remember manners and respect
When i got my two kittens from the cat shelter they both had cat flu and were really poorly - both just sleeping not eating and had runny noses bless them. Both on medication , then a few days later a big blue bottle flew into the house and that was it the big one suddenly shot up and chased it about the room then ate it , well that fly must have given him an appetite because he started eating again after that .
We never have any flies or spiders in our house - and as its a country house we do get the occasional mouse but they never last very long with the two of them as they catch and take them outside , they never kill them though just let them go .

I try to "get over it" as you say Eddie, but faced with the continual abuse by Wolfie and Veya of the British and of our country I feel I have to stick up for us. You don't care about the abuse we get because you, in your own words, don't care about us or our country.
You sit back and let them run our country down without a word of censure, and that's the truth.

Why do I care what other people think of the country I live in? I didn't give birth to it nor did I marry it.
WTF? It's a piece of FUCKING land that you happen to be on because that's where your mum pushed you out of her vagina.
It's really that fucking simple.
You're all a bunch of fuckwits for even caring about "your country"
Know what? Should've been spelled "C u n t r y" because fighting over it turns people into c unts.
