Why do some people ..instead of carrying on an intelligent  debate, often resort to talking down to others?...it's very offputting.

Not many cases though are there? Must be the good breeding.

George VI died of cancer as didge just mentioned.
Edward VIII died of throat cancer.
The Queen Mother also sufferes with cancer.

Those are 3 prominent members in relatively recent times, how many do you want? It is unsurpring elites fare better anyway considering their pampered lifestyles.

All the money in the world cannot 'cure' you of certain cancers.
It can buy you the best of care so prolonging your life, but ultimately if you have a terminal disease anyone from the Queen of Sheba to the man in the street will both have the same outcome.
