You may never know what someone else is dealing with unless you ask.

If you believe that you will also believe I shoot my own bacon each morning. lol

What does it matter whether the story is real or not to get the point of the story across?

Most stories are based upon some truth. I have no doubt that there has been doctors who have rushed to an emergency and have had parents be frantic with them and where the doctor has recently lost their own child. So that is very probably true. What was more likely invented was the dialogue between the father and doctor in the story

Do you believe in fairy tales?

Nope, I don't believe Jesus was the son of god either, but I certainly follow some of his principles. As he was a great teacher. You do not have to believe a story either to understand the message.

So again

As to the subject matter, I think it's always a good idea to not assume that everyone else's life is perfect. We all have our own worries, upsets, dramas, things that debilitate us, fears and family strife, we should all remember that about others at all times.
That's why forgiveness is a great and powerful thing for the forgiven and the one forgiving.
