Your dream car...your actual car.
Something on another thread gave me an idea.....if money was unlimited, would you choose a different car to the one you have now?
What do you drive....what would you love to drive?
I am not really a car person, but I always fancied a little convertible. The one I have (have had for 5 years now) I love.
Maybe if money or practicalities were not an issue I may buy myself a little 2 seater Mercedes convertible though.

Re: Your dream car...your actual car.
I love curvy cars and I really like the quirkiness of the windows of a Beetle - they flap upwards which thrills me no end!
I told a guy I was dating years ago, that I liked these cars, and he said they were "sewing machines on wheels", made me chuckle.
I'm not really into cars though. They rather bore me unless they're quirky.

Beetles always look to me that if you take a corner to quickly they will do a sideways wheelie.
I described the car I had once on a forum...a different car to the one I have now. Someone posted a pic and asked if it looked like this one....he posted a pic that looked like a hearse.

Dream car:
Tesla Model S (it can fly when you have the doors up like this):
Actual car:
Same color and everything. It's pretty much a piece of crap.

Can't post photo's, but i'v sold my Range Rover and now have a little Suzuki Jimny goes anywhere my Rover could. it's an automatic, very rare for this car,the Wife loves it,
does around 45 mpg and is easy to park. Can have 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive and a low range 4 wheel drive. [I do miss the comfort of the Range Rover though].

Re: Your dream car...your actual car.
hmm not sure
I don't mind the Hilux but it is very different than the Audi a4 I had previously. I like the go anywhere aspect of the Hilux but miss the speed and acceleration of the Audi.
and the old Rodeo ute is pure work horse, no air con, no power steering doesn't even have ABS. it actually really fun to drive but in a 'not-safe' sort of way if you don't have a load on the back you can drift everywhere but that also means you can spin out accidently. too fast in the wet, you'll do a 180.

Most fun car I ever drove was a Porsche 911. My size of car and sounds like a jet taking off when you get to 90-100 mph.

Re: Your dream car...your actual car.
I think the best car we ever had was the first one we bought together when we married. It was a maroon 3 litre Ford Capri.....I loved that car. It took me, OH, mum and our son from being born to when he was about 7 or 8 all over the country on summer holidays.
It was a sad day when it was towed away to go to that great car pound in the sky. As the tow truck disappeared up the street, the sun caught the chrome round the windows, and it shone, like a motorised angel.....my OH and I were really choked.
I have never been really attached to a car since then.

Oh Wolfie, that Tonka yellow one is so ugly, but I suppose you think the same of the Range Rover?
Different strokes for different folks I suppose.

Re: Your dream car...your actual car.
That F350 "truck" was originally built by Ford as a one-off show car back in 2002/'03..
Then a custom body shop started doing them up, a couple of years later..
Obviously playing on peoples' fond memories of those Tonka trucks they had as little kids.
I wouldn't buy one simply because it is so OTT, and so much overkill -- and the small fact that it would cost around $150k_plus, by the time it was imported and converted to Right-hand drive !
Even if I had a spare $150,000 lying around, I could buy a car, a 4WD ute, and a second-hand truck for my bees, for the price of that one 'Tonka truck' F350..

Re: Your dream car...your actual car.
My driving instructors dumped me. I kept not wanting to go the way she wanted and would often turn when I wasn't supposed to becasue I sorta fancied it.
Mind you, she was weird anyway. She was 62 and shagging some man and she actually showed me her sex clothes whilst I was driving. And then she told me a story about oral sex and the need for a towel......whilst I was trying to parallel park.
Could never fucking get the hang of that. Always think of blow jobs when I see someone doing that now.
