Carer jailed for stealing £170,000 from 95-year-old pensioner

A carer for the elderly has been jailed for stealing more than £170,000 from a vulnerable 95-year-old pensioner.

Nazneen Chattun, cashed 71 cheques and obtained power of attorney, which gave her control of the OAP’s bank accounts.

The pensioner, from Isleworth, gave evidence during the trial of Chattun, who was being paid by Hounslow council to care for her at home.

What an ordeal for a 95 year old to have to go through near the end of her life. Crying or Very sad

A lot of carers are immigrants and my endocrinologist was a foreign doctor and she was fantastic, just as my former one was English, and also fantastic.

A certain grade of severely impaired people in care facilities NEED a carer to sit with them ALL NIGHT.
These night carers come from an agency which comprises of every Tom, Dick, and Abdul, some cannot hardly speak English and in MY OWN EXPERIENCE are a zillion miles below standard.

These agencies appear to take anyone who will do the night job.
