A ridiculous 'Nazi' wannabe from Newtownabbey has been reported to the
Metropolitan Police for making anti-Semitic comments.

Loony Hitler fan Glenn Briers spends his time posting fawning Fuhrer message
and racist rants on social networking sites - taking a little time to
indulge in a little UVF worship.

Baby-faced Leeds United fan Briers, from Carnmoney, Newtownabbey, uses
Facebook to spread his hate-filled views about Jews, gays and black people.

Briers, in his early 20s, is a bizarre character who claims to be a
'dedicated National Socialist (Nazi)'

But last week Briers, who recently posted pictures of a six-year-old
relation holding a UVF flag, was forced to remove anti-Semitic remarks after
he was reported to the Met.

After appearing to call Jews "subhuman" - a clear reference to how they were
viewed by Adolf Hitler - he then 'joked', "Fishing rod is out tonight and
boy o boy have a caught myself a massive Jew by the nose ... how ironic".

Removed

Briers, who proudly states 'Heil Hitler' on his Twitter profile, is unlikely
to be prosecuted as it was quickly removed from his page and was reported
via a third party from the Jewish community in London.

The offensive tweet was quickly picked up by other Twitter followers and it
was sent directly to the Metropolitan Police's feed as well as the Kick it
Out anti-racism campaign and former footballer-turned pundit Stan Collymore.

"Glenn is a wannabe loyalist who thinks he's really clever," said a former
pal.

"He thinks he can sit with his mobile phone typing out all this disgusting
nonsense and get away with it.

"And having his relation pose with flags of paramilitary groups is really
classy isn't it?"

Despite removing some of the offensive comments Briers instead decided to
retweet an old photo of him when he apparently visited Poland.

In the photo he's seen grinning as he poses beside the Nazi flag in Oscar
Schindler's famous factory near Auschwitz that saved thousands of Jews from
death.

And he says of the visit: "The tour guide of Krakow said that the city's
Jewish cemetery was turned into a dump for rubbish under Nazi rule. I tried
and failed to hold in my laughter."

His Facebook and Twitter pages are littered with other appaling comments.

Last week he reacted angrily after former footballer Thomas Hitzlesberger
announced that he is gay.

He wrote: "Not pleased with footballers coming out as gay" and attached
"#faggot" along with it.

Shot
Other 'jokes' from Briers include openly racist comments about black
Manchester United footballer Nani.

He brags that he taught his young relation well after the six-year-old
apparently said: "I hate nani because he's a superwog, you can't even see
him when it's dark."

In November 2012 he called for Colin Duffy to be "shot at point blank range"
and last year he posted birthday greetings to Adolf Hitler on Facebook.

Stan Collymore: "My actions were totally reprehensible"

The Aston Villa and England striker, Stan Collymore, has apologised after he attacked his girlfriend, TV star Ulrika Jonsson, in a Paris bar.
Ms Jonsson was in the Auld Alliance bar with Glasgow Rangers star Ally McCoist when Mr Collymore turned up demanding that she leave.

The argument turned violent and the 27-year-old allegedly dragged her to the floor and aimed kicks at her head.




Agent Paul Stretford: Stan has apologised to Ulrika profusely
Mr Collymore's agent Paul Stretford said the footballer was "beside himself with remorse".

Ms Jonsson, 30, has now returned to the UK.

Stan Collymore later said in a statement: "A stupid and silly argument had developed throughout the course of the day between myself and Ulrika, someone who I have realised for some time is very special to me."

'Jealousy and drink were the real reasons'

He added: "My actions were totally reprehensible, something I am not proud of and finding very difficult to come to terms with.

"In a fit of petulant temper I struck out at the girl I love and immediately regretted my actions, but by then it was too late.

"I could hide behind a facade of excuses and no comments but petulance, jealousy and possibly having too much to drink are the real reasons behind this regrettable and avoidable incident."

Ms Jonsson arrived at the bar at around 11pm with Ally McCoist, according to a TV news report.

The pub was packed with Scottish fans and Ms Jonsson took refuge behind the bar to escape the crowds where she began to pull pints for fans, said reporter Martin Geissler, who witnessed the incident.

About an hour later Stan Collymore arrived, and after fans threw a pint over him he asked Ms Jonsson to leave, the reporter said.

It was when she refused that the attack took place.

"He dragged her out of the bar into a back room, pushed her to the ground and aimed kicks at her head," said Mr Geissler.

'Real rage'

"She was lying on the ground screaming and bar staff then grabbed Collymore and threw him out.

"He was in a real rage but came back later on to make the peace but then left alone a short while later.

"Ulrika left 15 minutes later in a chauffeur driven car."

In April Mr Collymore was cleared by magistrates of assaulting his former girlfriend Michelle Green.

Miss Green, 23, claimed the £7m player struck her during a late-night visit three days before Christmas last year after they rowed over access to their two-year-old son.
